The MARVEL characters REDESIGN thread - Part 1

Thought I'd create a new thread for all the Marvel redesigns out there. I've seen a couple awhile back that were pretty good so now this is the place to post any and all redesigns from the Marvel universe. Keep in mind that to those people who don't think they can draw, this thread isn't limited to just pictures....if you want to tweak the origin's then post 'em here!

I'll kick things off with a pen sketch I did about 2 years ago right before Spider-Man the movie came out. I saw a small pic of the Goblin's mask in a magazine so I sketched this out....looks a little different from the actual mask used but I think it's pretty close. It's not really a redesign, but it's all I have for now.

since is was disappointed with the movie costume i thought i would try and fix it while still going for the look they went for

i used some elements from my ninja spidey redesign. the web shooter gauntlets, the mask with insect like eyes

I didn't draw this, of course -- it's from Thor v2 #61 (iirc). I did, however, apply my Photoshop skills so that we could clearly experience the entire ensemble.

I LOVED this outfit, and was sad indeed that it existed for merely 3 pages!

Pretty cool the background works well

I just don't like the pose they used, that stance doesn't look natural

this is SO COOL. I love it

I love this whole design. Admittedly, the actual drawing -- impressive as it is -- is kinda funky when it comes to posture and proportions. But MAN, look at that helmet! And the breastplate... and the shoulder panels... and the boots... and the skirt plating... I mean, dayum! And did you notice that the top of the helmet and the tips of the shoulders have little hammer-heads on them? So slick.

I still chafe at the fact that this design only got used in 3 pages of 1 issue. :-/

Sorry I didn't do webbing lines on my spiderman but just use your imagination

I feel if I did the lines it would have turned out crappy and lop sided

That Spidey design of yours is actually pretty cool, camp_blood. Good ideas!

Thanks

Added a little bit of the movie suit with my own ideas

finally finished this one up

its my steampunk ironman (more like shockpunk considering the fact he doesn't actually use steam)
i combined tony stark with nikola tesla! and made the ironman suit a converted frogman suit. i used a bunch of different shades of red and yellow to make it look older and sort of miss matched paints

i replaced the replusors with tesla coils that shoot controlled aim-able lighting bolts

please let me know what you think

I gotta admit that spidey redesign art is cool But i like how you portrayed the web shooters as external gauntlets. That looks really cool and more believable, do you have any more art on this spidey or the web shooters because that is just really creative. Its not all bulky and sticking out, its real cool and streamlined i like this alot. Good job

I will do a close up of the a web gauntlet for you

The biggest details I want to get across are the cuffs the spinners and the web cartridge

Hey. Wow that was fast dude. but i love it. Wow that looks really really good man. But can you explain how the RGB function will work? Can't wait to see the touch up

The web shooters you have designed for your character is very awesome. Question if i may ask why is the web cartridge at the top of the shooter and not at the bottom like connected to the nozzle? Sir i must recognize that you have brought the web shooters from the 90's era into this new modern day era and i must say its awesome. 90's era also had one cartridge loaded at a time but was attached to the nozzle. But it is your character and again it is awesome. I agree i too wondered how the web shooters like didn't bulge out from his costume. I feel this approach is more believable.

I put the cartridges on top mostly for looks the top would be plain plus they're larger so that was a factor and I imagine all sorts of tech an tubes being under the housing of the gauntlets

I'm kind of a science nerd so I would do a issue of my spiderman dealing with him gathering the tech needed and then building his shooters and testing them out and tweaking them , yeah it would probably be boring but I think spidey fans would like it

It would be like Tony building his armor and the punisher:armory comic

That's sounds cool. So by all sorts of tech an tubes under the housing... What do you exactly mean by this? Can you Elaborate. And i'm a fan and is skilled in the Sciences myself most skilled in genetics and chemistry. So I like the factor that the cartridge is much larger this also help the running outta web fluid after like crossing a single city block. So the larger web cartridges are a plus. But you said you did it just for look and it will be plain? So.. bascially you're saying that the web cartridges doesn't go there? I mean it's not hard to see if it does,, i was thinking of a free-flowing system within the shooter themselves. The cartridge is pierced by the spike which caused the web fluid which is is name of "fluid" to maybe like flow up through maybe those stripes on the sides as shown? OR not i mean it's your character and i don't want to interfere. But maybe the fluid flows through the side then go to a housing unit right in front of the nozzle. The shooter does all this in a very very rapid fashion maybe. The fluid is then like super-compressed so whenever it is shot out of the nozzle only a small amount can make like alot of webbing. That's just my idea, but it depends on if you change it up a little bit. If not then that system could work.... But only downsize is that the cartridge actually will be there for look and practically empty.. So whatever direction you take it when you do the mini comic. I'm pretty sure many spidey fans will like it. I know i will.

i get what you mean i also did the spinners to help bring it closer to arachnids and reduce the need for fluid since the web was weaved and not a solid stream

about the tech and tubes, its mostly what i would call "mini compressors" if they even exist and computers and batteries to run the spinners and its multiple functions

the spinners i imagine using artificial ligaments so there would be a lot going on in these shooters. Lots of computer power
