The Matrix Resurrections

The first Matrix movie is one of my all time favorite sci-fi movies. Love it to this day and still holds up well I think

Reloaded and Revolutions were ok. Both films have things I liked but for the most part I thought the story was weak

Hopefully the new film is great and injects some new life into this franchise

All this meta stuff had better be true, because it makes the whole thing so much more interesting.

The comparison to New Nightmare is the only thing that’s got me excited to see this. It sounds like it could be absolutely ridiculous… in a good way :D

If Thomas Anderson calls Keanu Reeves on the phone, I'd be very excited.

Release the trailer!! i really love how meta everything is sounding. It's exactly what I was hoping this film would end up being and it sounds like it may even exceed my expectations.

I thought the title was confirmed to be The Matrix Rebooted but Resurrections sounds better anyway.

Hasn’t Resurrections been known for a year now? I guess it wasn’t officially confirmed, but I think their was like crew swag that got leaked during production.

When will they be releasing the trailer, if not now?

So intrigued by all this.

So we're seeing an older Neo with vague memories of what's happened before (thus it's not a prequel), a Trinity that's alive (despite dying in the previous films) and a younger Morpheus (or so it appears).

In my mind this is kinda pointing towards one premise - that the 'real world' is not real, but also a construct. And what we're seeing played out is probably the next cycle of the whole thing. If that's the case then I like how they're playing out certain scenes from the first film, but doing them differently this time.

Also, if that is the case, I wonder has Thomas Anderson/Neo always been 'the one' in every cycle? In fact, are all the humans the same in every cycle? I assumed that previous Ones were totally different men with different names and faces, but perhaps not. I guess the merovingian could answer that one as he was one of the few to have met Neo's predecessors.

I was really hoping they'd end up releasing the trailer today. I'm honestly unsure what they're waiting for haha. Dune?

They did release The Batman trailer a year ago so, yeah, don’t know why they’re waiting on this.

That's actually a pretty scary thought. It also goes back to Morpheus and the whole "What is real?" question from the first movie too.

But then again if they do go that route then everything the characters went through in the first trilogy and the Machine War was all in vain. I don't know how I would feel about that.

Just randomly looking at the technical specs behind Matrix 4, apparently they're using the Red Komodo to shoot this one and I hope it looks as good as this:

I don't understand. I really don't. The movie is coming in a few months. Why are they so against the public seeing a trailer at this point?

I would've rather, ya know, just seen the trailer, than have the description of it spread everywhere first.

We finally got a Spider-man trailer. I can’t imagine we don’t get one in the next couple of weeks.
