I just ran across an artical about them does anybody have pics of this group? I'd love to see DC's version of the Avengers.

Only one I could find. Thats them in the background

I take it that the one in back is Monster, middle left is Viking, middle right is Robot, and the one in front is Soldier.
the main four I guess. It'd be cool to see more of these guys like marvel has done with the Squadron Supereme.

There wouldn't really be any point, since Marvel has already done the Squadron Supreme version with the Ultimates.

Yeah, but that's the same characters, I'd like to see DC do Mavel's Avengers or Ultimates in thier own way, not just rehash the same stories.

The story wasn't very good to tell you the truth. Maybe somebody else can come along and redem the characters. If I never saw them again I wouldn't really care.

The Ultramarine Corps as depicted in JLA: Classified were meant to be pastiches of the Ultimates. Most evident by Warmaker One's hardassed attitude and use of phrases like "Shock and Awe", Jack O'Lantern and th Knight outwardly hating one another, how Goraiko is an atomic monster, how the Olympian (the thor analogue) is thought to be crazy, etc.

I didn't read the story, but I know it was basically Jeph Loeb throwing a hissyfit about Supreme Power. :o

Those two in bold are actually OLD heroes. They were part of the Global Guardians. I guess they could have tuned their personalities to make them more analogous with the competition but at least they're not literally "pastiches" (wahtever that means:confused: ).

I kinda remember the Crusaders, I just think that keeping at least one Team that are like the Avengers around would be a good idea if DC wants to do a crossover story without the legal stuff, they'd have the Characters prepared.

I think that's why Rigel said: The Ultramarine Corps as depicted in JLA: Classified. The Corps was around before the Ultimates were (first appeared in 1998).

The Jack O'Lantern from JLA Classified wasn't any of the ones from the GG (of which there were like three), since their powers involved actual lanterns. And I think the Knight was an old hero as well; wasn't he the original Squire?
But, yeah, the Olympian was always a little nutty. he's got the Golden Fleece, which gives him all the powers of the Argonauts, but apparently it carries their spirits as well, so at times he appears to carry out conversations with himself (a la Ultimate Thor talking to Ultimate Volstagg, whom nobody but him could see).
