I'm tired and I want to go to bed but can't because I have to run a sub-committee meeting which will probably take an hour. I'm supposed to wake up early for work tomorrow too which is also going to suck. I just want to get about 12 solid hours of sleep and I'd be good.

lol THAT's where I saw him!!! hahaha I haven't seen Carnivale in about 5 years (borrowed it from a friend) Kind of pictured My Bro's memorial like something from THAT or Big Fish, people showing up in their Renaissance costumes.

I go out to the theater and pay $20 for the ticket at an RPX showing and this family brings like a five year old with them... People, everyone paid $20 mutha cussing dollars! I did that to see a movie not hear your kid non stop for an hour. I got up told the parents to their face that I thanked them for wasting my money (dramatic, sure since the theater gave me a pass to come back, but it felt good to tell them) and then I walked out.

I don't blame kids for this. We are all ****ing wackos with no self control at those ages, but when a parent or parents do NOTHING to stop a child from acting out you aren't setting a good example to the child. Theaters are a public place for Christ sake. One in which other people are spending hard earned dollars to be at. As a parent you out to know better.

yea its a weird line to walk with kids in theaters... sometimes its wonderful seeing their excitement at things... others you want Hans Van Houten to put them to work.

At least you got a free pass...

Another thing... those theaters that are also restaurants... i tried it out once... ****ing terrible experience.

I prefer if people bring their kids at the early evening showings, versus late night showings. 9 times out of 10 when kids are out at midnight or even ten o'clock showings, there's going to be whining or crying. Of course they're going to be crabby that late. At that point it's better to get a babysitter or wait to see the film. IMO.

Or do what I do... bring tranquilizers and batons.

I take it this is one of those assigned seating types of theaters? Also you should have just slapped the kid in the face and told him his dad cheated on his mom if you wanted to be dramatic. What you did was perfectly reasonable.
