Looking forward to Iron Fist. I like the concept, haven't read the comics though.

Guy grew up in secret kung fu village hidden by magic. Hugged a dragon and can punch through everything. He hangs out with Luke Cage and they fight crime for money despite him being a billionaire. It's pretty awesome.

I really enjoyed S1 of Flash. Haven't cared for S2 outside of the Earth-2 stuff. Dropped Arrow a while back. Gotham too. After its less-than-stellar premiere, I never would have figured Supergirl would be the only one I look forward to each week, but that's where we're at now, I guess. None of them are legitimately good shows though, imo. I find the writing on ALL Berlanti shows to be borderline terrible. Supergirl just has charm and heart on its side right now, like Flash used to, imo.

I love the character of Iron Fist, and he was EASILY the one I was most excited about when these Defenders shows were announced, but I'm nervous about the choice of showrunner, so I remain cautiously optimistic on that one.

Charm is fine but Marvel Netflix has the beatings. :D

Favorite scene in Gotham.

I need to get on that. It does sound awesome.

this most recent flash was pretty amazing.

The actor they got for Luke in JJ is awesome. He fits to a T. If they have a outtake where he shows up for halloween in an afro, silver tiara and yellow blouse then I'll laugh my ass off.

Immortal Iron Fist by Matt Fraction and Ed Brubaker is the perfect place to start, imo.
After you're done with this, you can head back to the classic volume by Chris Claremont and John Byrne.

Agree with flick. IMMORTAL IRON FIST especially the early goings was just amazing. An expansion on a mythology in Marvel that was okay and was turned into this incredibly deep and rich narrative which I really hope gets it's due on Netflix.

@flickchick Who is the show runner that you are uneasy about? I haven't kept up on the BTS info.

Scott Buck, aka, The Guy Who Ruined Dexter.

I see. Never watched DEXTER. Anything in particular about what he did or brought to the table?

Iron Fist has always had a soft spot in my heart going back to the Luke and Danny days. The potential there is enormous I think, especially if they get into the other Living Weapons and the Iron Fist legacy.

If they were going for the weaker Dexter showrunners then the least they could have done was hire the season 5 guy. Essh

He just ruined the main character by making him all the things he wasn't supposed to be - sloppy, emotional, romantic, stupid, etc. And those traits extended beyond one character too. There were some seriously ridiculous and asinine plot developments under his watch. And the finale may legitimately be the worst series finale I've ever watched.

I agree about the potential in Iron Fist and the Luke/Danny relationship, though. Like I said, he's the character I was most excited about seeing on Netflix (and kinda still is)...I just wish they didn't pick someone who did such a memorably, monumentally bad job running a once successful show.

And all that stuff I said above didn't even take this into account because I had totally blocked that mess out.

Sorry I agree j3. The Berlanti shows just are not for me. I really enjoyed FLASH season one but I think unless it's season two finale is phenomenal in my eyes that after this it's done I may be out.
