Was filmed in my town, Saint Joseph, Missouri and at the school Lafayette High School. The girl wanted to become the typical prom queen and the typical "Made" show plays out and she wins Prom queen.

But, that was what MTV made happen.

She never won the title and MTV staged it to where she did win.

Yeah! Go MTV.

Did she not win and they just had everyone there pretend that she did?

I heard they had it re-done, with a whole new set of people.

I haven't even seen anyone I know yet. :/

i actually havent seen very many episodes of made where the people actually reach their goals. but i could see this happening. :o

It honestly makes you question everything about this show and, I just by chance talked to the guy she took to prom at a place I was going to work. He proved it was fake.

The Made one?

She was a bigger girl, long red hair.

"Yeah man, they staged a second Prom after the first one, MTV paid for a cool looking place and all that stuff".

Have you seen MTV lately? Most of their shows are horribly scripted. Watch Next or Room Raiders and tell me those are candid?

Given the fact that every Made I have seen include a good friend of the main person being pissed that their friend is too busy with Made is proof enough they script it. That doesnt happen. Friends are happy for one another when they succeed or try to succeed (or at least pretend to be happy), especially when its a limited time event paid for by a tv network.

Yeah, I agree. My friends would actually be shocked and would try helping me if I tried to get myself "Made".

i know. i truly truly truly HATE mtv at this point. not only do they not show any music, but all they have are extremely poor (scripted) "live" reality series. its all trash and i cant stand hearing about it.

seriously, who watches The freaking Hills?

I actually use to watch this show when it was first introduced and I thought it was interesting, but it just got more ridiculous as all MTV shows do.

Like all the kids always seem to have the same goal now: the jock wants to be an artist or dancer, the quiet geeky looking girl wants to be prom queen, wants to join some sport or other activity, the popular (usually rich) girl wants to do some "extreme" sport like motocross or skatebroading and be less girly or something, the geeky guy wants to be a ladies man, and it goes on and on.

qft :o:up:

I will admit, I started hating MTV around the time TRL came out.

Oh and, I hate how MTV is falsely making people into their dreams. That could ruin someone.

What's even more bad is if they do some sort of update, and you find out that the kid that got made hasn't changed one bit.

And is it me or does it seem like whenever the person has a boyfriend/girlfriend they end up breaking up halfway into the episode?

I don't know about that. I lost most of my Jr. High friends in High School and I think a big part was my joining the gymnastics team Sophmore year, couldn't hang out with them as much due to practice or events. So they just stopped trying to hang out with me. It's high school, one little change is hugely amplified.

That said, the show is pretty stupid and whenever I've watched it, it follows the exact same format. Girl/guy meets coach, struggles with first days or weeks, breaks down and wants to give up, then actually begins to try and shows real progress, "succeeds" at being made

I see where you're coming from. My friend was on the football team freshmen year, had been playing most of his life with the same kids, they were really close and a great team, my friend decided to quit football freshmen year and they all but abandoned him as a whole.
