I was on IMDB.com and I was looking at the cast for SP3 and Dr. Curt Connors is on the list again. So I think it is safe to assume the Lizard can be the 4th villain.

They might make it pretty clear that Lizard will be the next villain, as in spiderman 4... but if he's in spidey 3 I'll be most surprised.. But dont count on it.

I HIGHLY doubt Connors is a 4th villain, not only because of all the other villains in the film and such, but because there's just too much going on already in the film to include The Lizard, even if he was at the end.

Although, I wouldn't say no to a Lizard cliffhanger.

IMDB is like Wikipedia. It is user-submitted info. If I wanted to, I could convice them that your mom was the forth villian and they would put it on the page. That's how Aunt May got to be Carnage on IMDB for a while.

Therefore, there is nothing official about IMDB at all, and you can't come to any conclusions by looking at their cast list.

Besides, Connors being listed doesn't mean anything. The Lizard isn't listed. He was in the last Spider-Man movie, too. Did you see a Lizard in the movie? :P

why does everyone keep talking about the cliffhanger ending? it's been pretty clear there will be NO cliffhanger ending. They still don't even know if they'll make a fourth one yet, no one has confirmed one, so why would they make a cliffhanger ending for this movie and then not make another

It might be silent for a while... but there will defintly be a spider-man 4.. it's just a matter of time.

Open ended signifies neither showing a definite finish nor preparing you for another one. It means that they don't know what they're doing and they don't want to pretend that they do. They will leave us with probably no cliffhanger, but also no definite ending such as the death of Spider-Man or something to that effect. If they don't know what they're doing, don't expect yourself to.
