As cynical as it is I would not be surprised to find out there really is a job in Hollywood to decide whether a major breaking news event was movie-worthy material.

A politician is caught in a scandal? Political thriller.

Major natural disaster? Disaster movie.

Plane, train or other mass transportation accident? Movie about the brave souls who survived or attempted to save everyone else.

A skirmish or war breaks out? War movie.

Revolution or rebellion? War movie combined with a political thriller.

The one from Air France was submerged somewhere around a year or so and came out intact although they are built to last.

Far fetched theory with no proof, no well-argumented reasoning, and probably not even well thought out; Flight 370 was accidentally shot down. After realising what had happened, countries banded to help cover it up so that there would be no complicated law suits with families suing both the country's governments, military, flight providers etc, and no calls for retaliation or punishment. The plane will never be found, bodies will never be found, and the party who shot it down will never see any repercussions for what they did, even if it was accidental. Nothing will be done.

Demand updates ? Says the person who pages back was suggesting they should be looking in caves for the plane, and pointing out how they are doing it wrong.
Now that you helped so much in criticizing and your theories pointing them in the "right" direction, their priority should now be keeping you informed.

These are mostly people just trying to actually do their jobs! Searching. analyzing data, informing the press. etc...

You want them to show they "remember" the lives of the lost ones to satisfy you.
What have you done.
Like they owe you or need to show you anything about how they "remember".
And how should they "remember" for you? Wear T-shirts and hats that say I remember , release doves into the air as they haul ass for days and nights on ships and planes circling vasts amounts of ocean. Why don't you spend a fortune printing out shirts and flags saying we remember, for everyone actually working to wear.
So you can see to your ridiculous satisfaction oh yes they remember.
Or better take your magical yacht to the middle of nowhere and release a doves and flowers for the pres to see, so they can go - now there is the one beautiful special person who actually "remembers", isn't he freakin wonderful!. Not like those uncaring people actually working
