The new animated Legion of Superheroes cartoon

He showed up in the ep where they went to Lightning Lad's homeworld, and for the last two episodes of the season.

He and Lightening Lad fighting over leadership was pretty much the whole episode. Hardly a bit part like Starboy and Colossal Boy.

Yeah, but he's still not among the main characters. Cosmic Boy's consistently been one of the more important Legionnaires throughout the Legion's various histories. It would've been nice if they'd included him as a main character or at the very least a major recurring character in the series.

Newsarama's got an article on Kids WB's Fall '07 line-up, including the new season of LoSH. Here's the blurb about LoSH itself:
Newsarama said:
Legion of Super Heroes: A incomprehensibly undefeatable nemesis, Imperiex, puts the Legion into action alongside new team members. The Legion finds a surprising, new ally from across the space-time continuum; a 41st century Superman, cloned from the original, with alien DNA added to the mix for new, enhanced powers. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
I just watched the entire first season and, just as some people here said, it started out a bit lame but got much better by the end of the season. Season 2 looks like it's going to easily top it by leaps and bounds. I'm glad to see an older Legion with some more of the core members (CHAM!) getting major roles. Lightning Lad's more comic-inspired costume looks great. The future Superman clone looks awesome. I'm actually liking the new, more The Batman-esque animation style shown in the Newsarama article. The plot for season 2 sounds awesome, like a mix of the Our Worlds at War and DC One Million comic stories with the Legion as the protagonists instead of the JLA. Can't wait to see it.

oh nooessss!!! Superman in LoSH and Superman on The Batman!! The kids minds will be blown!!! EMBARGO STAT!!

Superman's gonna be on The Batman as well? I wonder if this is the start of a shared continuity between the new DCAU series, just like Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and JL/JLU all shared their continuity before...

I doubt it.

Supes, Lex, and Lois are all being voiced by their DCAU actors.

Damn, why couldn't they get Kevin Conroy to do his best Batman voice ever again? :o

Newsarama interview with Legion producer James Tucker

Apparently, the Superman clone is named "Kell-El" and he was basically brought in as a less-confusing substitute for Mon-El. Which I don't get. Why not just stick with the origin where Mon-El is a Daxamite who joins the Legion? I'd much rather have seen Mon than a Superman clone, and it seems that "This is Mon-El, from the planet Daxam" would be a lot simpler than "This is Kell-El, who's a clone of Superman made in the 41st century but who's come back to the 31st century to help us fight Imperiex."

Some irrefutably exciting news, however, is that Karate Kid is mentioned in the list of characters who'll be showing up in season 2. Can't wait to see him. :D

Is it me, or does Kids WB play at least once a month the mediocre episode where Brainy goes crazy?

That one was annoying. I wanted Superman to punt that little *****ebag into the next galaxy.

glad to hear THAT thanks corp
HI-YAH:ninja:

there's blatantly going to be a small time of kell-el joining the league, then he'll go dark and have to face a less fighting experienced superman..

that fight is going to be awesome...

i wonder if kell el manages to release an older version of drax, i would quite like to see him come again...

I really wish they'd just give Clark the spitcurl. He already looks almost as buff as his adult self. Why not just give him the spitcurl as well?
