The new animated Legion of Superheroes cartoon

I'd rather they tried to adapt Waid's run on the Legion comics.

It was a pretty damn good episode, although I think they played down the whole 'Bringing back Krypton' aspect of it.

also the fact that superman's brain was erased at the end of this episode and the creator of imperiax's brain wasn't erased in the previous episode makes me wonder why that wasn't ever shown.

I think something as epic as having two million superpowered kryptonians should have been something to show near the end of the season. Imperiax should have gone down hard today and it was played down. He should have tapped into the shrinking ray grid and made himself larger to deal with them all.

Having him crush hundreds of superpowered kryptonians certainly would have put him back on the map as being a universal threat again, i'm finding it hard to take him seriously since he gets his ass kicked once an episode or so.

it reminds me of cartoons from the 80s where a hasty retreat was always on the cards...

he's done it at least five times this season

No villian that I can recall teleported as often as Ganon from THE LEGEND OF ZELDA, which aired on Fridays on the SUPER MARIO SUPER SHOW during the 80's. I mean he wouldn't even walk. He'd snap his fingers and teleport just to save himself a few steps...while PACING. It was that bad.

But, that isn't why anyone remembers that show. People remember that show because Link was always trying to get into Zelda's pants, and he had the worst "****-block" aura ever.

Yeah, this is late info., but I had to find an excuse to bump this thread.

From Comics Continuum, the final episodes of the season are:

"In the Beginning" The Legion's founding, featuring R.J. Brande.

"Trials"

"In Your Dreams" Featuring Dream Girl.

"Dark Victory, Parts 1 and 2" Featuring Mordru and the Dark Circle.

Mordru is showing up this season even though Imperiax has been the main villain? Hmm...guess he needed the help. :p

That or the constant excuse me moments that make fingernails on chalkboard sound like a work by Mozart.

I actually liked those bits. Link showed up without them on CAPTAIN N, and was much blander for it. But I was a tyke when I watched those, so it has nostalgia factor. ;)

God I miss captain n, of course it would be hilarious to see how they either screw up, or even do well on a captain ps3 or some such (headcrabs on tv could not possibly fail).

Mordru! Hells yeah!

Argh! The wait for the final episodes is killing me! What's been the hold up?!

i guess this means the legion defeats imperiax THEN after they think the timestream has been repaired modru shows his ugly mug

www.screwattack.com has a section where a troupe of film-making gamer fans made a Sega-themed homage to that show, called CAPTAIN S (for Sega Genesis). It is intentionally made cheesy to suit 90's fare, and is fun. And free to DL!

Likely waiting for sweeps. Kid's WB always bleeds out new episodes, though. Ever since '96 when SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES started.

Perhaps...

Or Imperiax tries to do some s**t with Magic and ends up releasing a far greater threat.

That, too. Although hopefully they do it so it doesn't just rip off JLU's DESTROYER finale, where Luthor sought to use magic to revive Brainiac and instead unleashed a repowered Darkseid.

If it's half as good as Destroyer, it'll be awesome.

DESTROYER was good, and while on the subject, I believe JLU managed to leave at that perfect moment; they had all but exhausted most season-long worthy plot-lines, but it hadn't gotten to the point where most of the fans didn't want some sort of encore. That is a horribly rare thing to do; most shows either leave past their prime or around their prime. Getting the perfect medium is nigh impossible.

I think they left a season too early or at least should have reworked the plot devices of season 2 to be in season 3 (although they didn't have the luxury for it).

season 3 just seemed like a season long filler to try to tie up loose ends, nothing significant happened in it.

Eh, I was content with when it ended. I was frankly getting sick of how Cartoon Network kept showing the seasons on really half-assed, piecemeal schedules.

i don't mind when, just how.

it aired fully over here in the uk, we actually got to see the end before anyone else.

Lucky you. We got short bursts of episodes so infrequent that I wasn't even sure when the last season started.

perhaps it's time to go back to the days when single tales are told individually and there is less continuity between individual episodes but rather story plots from those episodes are followed in the following seasons, kinda like tas bats used to handle it.
