Yep! Here's the art for the first issue...

So far, this is the only new design that I like as much or more than the original.

I'd say the gauntlets look a lot like Jim Lee's original designs for All Star Batman and Robin, with Robin's boots. Come to think of it, this design also bares some resemblance to the recent comeback-suit from the comics.

I don't mind the new suit at all, it's not such a huge departure that it makes me dislike it. Still far from my favorite suits I've seen in the last ten years.

Yeah, I thought of that instantly. I will say that it's done with a lot more taste. Particularly in the nipple area.

Batman's seems like one of the costumes with the least changes to it. Also, I think the "armoured" look only really works for him, as he needs more body protection than characters who can just ignore bullets.

I love the new Batsuit! I really like that it's black and gray with the oval-less Bat-symbol and no trunks! The ellipse Bat-symbol was one of my few disappointments with the Batman, Inc. Batsuit. I could do with a darkened utility belt, make it dark brown/bronze/gray/black.

I'm actually digging Capullo's artwork. Big plus for having Professor Pyg stick around. However, I'm totally distracted with the Riddler's question mark mohawk.

As far as Superman's new suit goes...why the hell does he need armored boots? He's SUPERMAN.

It kinda does, actually. I just don't get why everyone seems to have an armoured look. Fair enough for characters like Batman (protection during fights) or Green Lantern (he's basically a space policeman, so the ring could have a default armoured uniform) but with Superman, it just doesn't make sense.

Why wouldn't Superman wear armour? Sure everyday run of the mill thugs don't pose a threat to Superman but if a Supervillian were to attack Superman armour would probably help.

Two out of three ain't bad I suppose. And its certainly an improvement over the Inc. outfit. The trunks will be back. They always do. They simply works better for the overall look. DC knows that even now:

... whereby the shading breaks up the monotone and gives the effect of the trunked look. That "effect" will become actual trunks sooner or later when they realize yet again that different is just different not better.

Then again, Batman and Superman's costume have traditionally been palette swaps of each other, except for Batman's cowl and gloves, as well as differences in the details they do share.

I hope the trunks don't come back. The don't work better for the overall look. I think they worked best on Dick Grayson's Batsuit, but Bruce is better off without them.

They will. They do. They work regardless, but Bruce is not "better off" without them or with them for that matter—it is just a little darker ink on paper after all. The look is better off though.

This is a matter of subjective opinion, and I disagree with you. I really hope that the trunks don't return, because the Batsuit looks better without them, in my opinion.
