The New Fantastic Four **Spoilers**

Anyone have any ideas on who will make up the new lineup. The current team has been destroyed. Reed's the sole member now. I wonder if he will even continue on with the Fantastic Four. With no one left, he just might continue working for the government or do independent research. For all we know the new team could be Sue, Johnny and 2 new members. Its not necesarily going to be centered around Reed

If Marvel has any sense at all, they will put the exceptional Dan Slott on FF to replace the departing JMS.
Slott's short-lived THING series was terrific; some of the most enjoyable superhero comics I've ever read.

I forgot but in Wizard 175, it asked Which pair of characters will be joining the FF:

1. Luke Cage/Jessica Jones
2. Human Galactus/Silver Surfer
3. Storm/Black Panther
4. Hawkeye/She-Hulk

Out of the group, I think its most likely going to be Cage and Jessica. With Sue and Johnny splintering off, it would make sense that the new team will center around them since they are a pair of 2. Cage is anti-registration so he could join up with them along with Jessica. I think this could be a very interesting new lineup.

Does Jessica have any powers though? I know she was a superhero in the past but I don't know if those powers came from her or from some costume.

Here's some random speculations.

Using past members of the Fan Four. But Luke Cage is with Cap, so he's out; Medusa and Crystal are involved in Inhuman affairs AFAIK so they're unlikely; She-Hulk is with Tony but after Civil War 4 we don't know if that will last; Sharon Ventura is at Wyatt Wingfoot's reserve and we don't know if she's now psychologically ready to resume action.

Some other totally different quartet will get Reed's approval to use the Fantastic Four name. The U-Foes, those FF wannabee's now part of the Thunderbolts? The Fin Fang Four (Fin Fang Foom, Elektro, Gorgilla, andGoogam)? Reformed members of the Frightful Four?

Though I kinda doubt they'll go that far for long, especially with the new movie coming up.
If the "civil war" ends, I expect Johnny and Sue to return, along with Ben, and have the locks changed on the Baxter Building.

Reed can go make out with Tony Stark.

Or Reed will wake up at South Fork, Sue will be in the shower, and he'll realize the whole story arc has been a dream. And then discover that Iron Man is J.R.

Not sure WHO will be joining Reed as new FF members, but hopefully the original team will be back together in time for this summer's World War Hulk event...

Dan Slott did such a great job on THE THING series, better (in my opinion) than any FF writer since Byrne. For characterization and humor, I think he surpassed Byrne.
I sure hope they offer FF to him.

shake things up. Civil War is supposed to have lasting effects and this is one way to do it. I doubt it will be lating for too long though and the original team will be back together in time for the movie

I would be shocked if this new "FF" is in place for long. I would be further shocked if one year after the Civil War ends, FF's membership is Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny.
