I taped the first season when it aired (cartoon network had a marathon one day), but I don't have the second and I know the series went as far as a third overseas. Does anyone know how many seasons it went and does anyone have any of the other seasons that they'd be willing to part with or make me a copy? Thanks.

The series that was on years ago. It had a more anime feel to it. It was awesome but CN canceled it after only a couple seasons... it was just beginning it's third. I'm trying to find out about that. if the show was put on DVD anywhere or if there's someone that has it on DVD or anything. i loved that show and can't find it anywhere.

Try clicking here http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=ThotPran This dude at You-Tube's pretty much got the whole 2 seasons available. You'll have to surf a bit to find the ones you want.

I'm a He-Man fan I don't really remember that show. There was another He-Man show not too long after the original one. It was kinda futuristic. I don't believe it lasted long. Anyone else remember it?? What really got my brain going on it, was remembering the action figures. He-Man had more of an armor look.

The show was on for 2 seasons and 39 episodes.

The other He-man show was on in the late 80's early 90's. It was called The New Adventures of He-Man. He-man follows Skeletor into another dimension where he joins a new team of super heroes and Skeletor joins a new team of villains.

It's on DVD now and they had some sets for it at Best Buy. It seemed to last quite a while judging from the size of the box sets.

I wish the new show was on DVD already. It was pretty good. Tight animation, good designs, strong music, and a lot more serious and less cheesy than the original. For example, Cringer can't talk. Orko and even Mecha-nek were a lot more interesting characters.

Mecha-nek actually acknowledges that all he can do is stretch his neck really far. That's totally awesome.

I agree.

Thank you!! Now it's starting to come back to me. The name just kept escaping me, even though I knew it was a variant on the original title. Thanks Vile for clearing that up.

See, I didn't care for that series. You can get the DVD sets for it from a link on the main page on he-man.org.

And how can you NOT remember the new MOTU series? it was AWESOME! Low on cheese, high on action, the characters were multi-layered and they still worked the "lesson" in at the end of the show, but it was actually worked INTO the show. It wasn't an add on at the end.

Well, I think I don't really remember it much, was because after the original show, I went onto Super Mario Brothers Super show, then James Bond Jr.:woot: They filled the gap of He-Man for me.

I thought the recent He-Man cartoon was great, its a shame it did not last long...

hell yeah. I don't know why that was cancelled... It was the batman tas of he-man serieses...

it actually attempted to be serious... wtf is wrong with tv and serious cartoons? Now every cartoon is pokemon-ish or equally ******ed. Me hate it.

I can't find a toon that's at least trying to be as good as this anymore... :csad:

I agree. And they were planning to bring in Hordak as the main villain of season 3!

I hear it was cancelled due to low ratings, which was comletely Cartoon Network's fault for not giving it a better timeslot and not giving it any real promotional push, even though it was vastly superior to half the crap they air:cmad:. I'd kill for a well done direct to DVD movie tying up the loose ends, like SERENITY style almost. But that probably won't happen. :csad:

Funny thing: voice actor Gary Chalk (Optimus Primal of Beast Wars) voiced He-Man in "New Advnetures of He-Man" (but did not voice Adam; Adam was voiced by Doug Parker) and then he voiced Man-At-Arms in the 2002 He-Man series. Also, Scott McNeil, who voiced Mer-Man, Ram-Man, Stratos and many others for 2002 He-Man, also did voice work on "New Adventures".

And it still makes me grin to think that in the 2002 series, He-Man was voiced by the original Leonardo of TMNT, Cam Clarke. I see the 2002 He-Man, I immediately imagine Leonardo in a recording booth saying the He-Man lines.

Now if I could persaude you all to kick it old school for a moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNN7FIWCM9U

Nice... How sad cartoons are today. It's not too much to ask that they keep the good shows on the air and shove out the crappy stuff is it?

And yeah, i recognized Leo as He-man.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll do a continuation of the show once this new he-man flick starts picking up steam... :cmad: SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSERIOUSLY that show was so good.... if any of you out there in cyberspace can find it on line, I completely recommend it. Much better than loonatics and whatever new crap they have on.

still not sold? Imagine He-man, but without the sappy message at the end and something more like LOTR.

You got to remember Wesyeed crap is cheap. Buying whole runs of shows like anime is cheaper than making a new show from the ground of like he-man. That and trying to do top-notch aniamtion on it. Besides its CN and the toy companys fault for the show ending. Really what did they expect to happen when you don't show ads for the show and throw the time-slot around like that, and then sell hundreds of different he-man toys and shortpacking everyone else. Well at least theres shows like avatar that are good.

Well, that's a good point as well.

I'm hearing that He-Man is actually coming back. Are there any truth to these rumors?
Rumors circulate of a live action film, but as for reigniting the 2002 series, well, I don't know as I am behind on He-Man rumors.
