You think they'll go with the original team, or make up a team from various other rosters? I was thinking the latter.

I'm dying to see Magik and Domino on this team.

I think it will be focused on a mix of younger characters from various rosters. Especially given the Director. I wouldn't leave out the possibility of characters like Quire, Idie, Hellion, X-23 etc. That young batch of New X-Men are not really explored either, and I don't think this will be based heavily on the Lifeld run of New Mutants personally. I really hope to see Magik too.

Domino is better left for X-Force though. She's really not so much on the New mutant side of things. And works better with Deadpool, Cable or Wolverine given her violent nature and association with older characters.

Omg I forgot about Magik. Yes please. Make it her movie. She's one of the best characters at Marvel. I wonder if they'll get into Limbo/Demon storylines.

Dani has a lot of potential.

This could be designed to lead up to X-Force.

If In present it allowes them opportunity to use rogue,iceman,Kitty,Colossus without breaking DOFP contunity.Don't forget In 80's new mutants Kitty often was connected to new mutants due to Colossus' sister being her roommate.

Simon Kinberg once discussed X-Men films in different time peroids.

Also if set In present you have opportunity for Patrick Stewart as Xavier to teach new mutants.

Hopefully it will involve members of 1980's new mutants.

I'd like to see Boom Boom here as well. She can be fun if they don't have plans for her in X-Force.

If they are young mutants obviously depending how young then some of them may be to old to be in the category they are talking about, kitty,rogue,Bobby are likely around 29 by 2023 and blink probably wouldn't be seen as a young mutant either

Obviously a spin off like this will be about these young characters

I don't think there will be many returning characters. Think Fox wants as many new X-Men IPs as possible. Which is awesome

Smaller roles maybe.

Totally forgot about Boom-Boom, she'd be awesome. Hope we get Karma too. Would be a big deal if Fox gave us the first openly gay marvel superhero in film. They might explore it with Psylocke being bisexual, could still do with Mystique but I doubt it.

I'd like to see this as the 2023 reboot. As in, the new timeline where Wolvie woke up at the end of DoFP, the New Mutants were trained as students at that restored x-mansion.

We could've been had that if Marvel would get off their butts and make a Runaways movie, or TV series for Netflix. Someday...

Bingo. Why have one become the other when they can have two separate properties going on side by side. They want more not less.

If we get X-Force it will be adult characters not younger ones.

I still think that 2018 Mystery film is either another X-Men movie after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse, or an X-Men/FF Crossover movie.

Maybe New Mutants comes in 2017? I don't know how full Boone's plate is at the moment.
