Wolfsbabe,Magik, and Mirage alone are a lot of females.add storm to them and that is 4 female characters.Who knows if moira adopting wolfsbabe will be used for films. They could simply want to use moira as mother with protues. We know protues is something singer wants to use for future full X-Men film. That's up to Boone for that.

Cannonball is only white male on new Mutants team.that's a lot of divestry right there.

I'm going to try to address this solely thinking on Apocalypse.
- Show the X-Men actually spending time doing non save the world stuff together like (Eating Dinner or Hanging Out at The Bar or Pool Hall)
They're hanging out at the mall in Apocalypse. Who knows what else they'll do.
- Female Characters that actually talk to each other idk why this is so hard but they hardly talk to each other in these movies
We'll see how they do on this front. So far we know Jean has a friendship with Jubilee.
- Proper Accents for the character's
Psylocke is a miss but Apocalypse will apparently speak ancient language, Storm will speak Arabic and have a Kenyan accent, Nightcrawler will have a German accent, Sophie Turner an English actress is doing American accent for Jean.
- Better than 1v1 fights.. X-Men fight as a group
We are getting every X-Men vs Apocalypse which aside from Doomsday in BvS I don't remember another cbm having the entire superhero group going against one villain... maybe Watchmen when they went against Ozymandias. In AOU technically all the robots were Ultron but the main Ultron himself went separately against Thor, Iron Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch, respectively. Except for the part where Thor, Iron Man and Vision charged against him. Point is they didn't all go against a unit. And people have been praying to get an X-Men vs Magneto fight like that.
- Why can't the X-Jet be called The Black Bird
Well this I don't know.
- Why can't the X-Men ever assemble in The War Room
This is one I would like to see in Apocalypse too.
- Why has the Danger Room only been used in the worst X-Men film ever
Because FOX didn't give Bryan Singer the budget for it in either X1 or X2.

I guess there are prons and cons.

Pros:
We're getting the classic lineup.
We're getting more Storm.
It will be connected to the main X-Men movies. Which allows them i.e. to further develop the school as usually in main X-Men movies the plot/villain doesn't allow for them to delve deep into that.

Cons:
No Colossus with Magik.
Members too close in age to the actual X-Men, may create trouble to differentiate them, but as JP said, they won't go in missions.

Boone's Twitter follows are encouraging. Perhaps we could get something official as early as SDCC? Might be something to fill the gaps between flagship X-Men films. Hopefully the team is as diverse as McWeeny's report says it is though.

I think Lauren Shuler Donner's horrible poker face on the Apocalypse red carpet when she gets grilled for new info will tell us what we need to know

I think Belasco, Selene or possibly Demon Bear are the top three candidates for villains.

If Belasco is the villain then I think we many see his demonic minions S'ym and N'astirh make an appearance.

I think the X-Men will be 20 and The New Mutant's will be 15-17.

I don't see them being older to the point they are teachers, I just do not see that happening, mostly because since they are doing thee films it's probably better to keep them as students this time at least for a few movies to explore that rather then jump ahead to make them senior members

There are certainly other dynamics they can have that's not student/teacher

It can work just like X-Men: Evolution.

The X-Men are like 11th/12th Grade and The New Mutant's are 8th/9th grade

Perfect example. I think it's not a issue. They've used X-Men Evo as a base before.

I can't believe I'm just now seeing this. Evo is all over Apocalypse (Storm/Magneto as Horsemen, Destroyed Mansion and Xavier kidnap, Scott & Kurt friendship, older Beast, Quicksilver joining to stop Magneto, etc etc)

But season 2 of Evo introduced New Mutant's perfectly. FoX I gotta give credit where credit is due this is very cool.

I know Stevie Hunter has her fans and I'm one of them but Storm as like Teacher's Aide and cooler younger hip mentor works better.

It's a good idea, but it depends on casting talented actors so I doubt that'll actually be possible.

For example, Maisie Williams is 18 while Raine Sinclair was 12 or 13.

She's still yonger than Sophie and she even plays her baby sister in GoT which still has nothing to do with her playing younger than she actually is. She could actually could pass for much younger and this is the movieverse anyway she doesn't have to be exactly the age of the comics.

Belasco would be a good choice for a 1st villain.

I don't know about Demon Bear if Karma is not even included in the story.

^ I don't think Karma had a significant role in Demon Bear (it was a Mirage story more than anything else).

The question is whether she could look so much younger than Alexandra Shipp that Storm could be a plausible teacher to her? Basically, the New Mutants have to stand out as younger than the X-Men if they're going to be in the same era.

Going by what singer says they probably won't have characters grow up to quickly so I personally don't expect storm to be a teacher, it would be jumping to far ahead.

And with how fox does these movies it's hard to say what direction new mutants is going, it may be a totally different direction to what's expected

If this movie comes out in 2018... Alexandra Shipp will be closing in on 30. She won't look the same age.

She could still pass for 18 to 20 year old storm, i mean its hard to say whether she is mean't to be the same age in this movie as scott and jean since its slightly unreleastic to expect they would happen to be the same age.

i do not see them jumping ahead to make her a teacher purely because they haven't explored her as a student yet, they haven't shown the difficulty in her transformation from thief living rough to part of a schoo;/team so making her a teacher would pretty much skip all that and i ain't too sure thats the point of what they are doing here.

The Evo X-Men weren't teachers rather just older students who served as pseudo mentors.that's what I think they are going for with Proffesor as the de facto leader.

I was thinking a couple things id like to see Storm doing in New Mutant's

- If we get origin's of the new Mutant's I'd love for Storm to fly the Blackbird to Brazil with Xavier to recruit Sunspot after his powers manifest. Or any other NM don't think we'd get all the origins.

- Storm running a Danger Room session.

- I know this won't happen but Storm driving them from Westchester to NYC to see Dazzler or Lila perform.

- Or The New Mutant's are out past curfew at Coffee A Go-Go (They have to hang out there in this movie!) And Storm has to go get them and it turns into something else. Just spit balling ideas

It does seem kinda of odd to do a movie focusing on new recruits being trained as the next X-Men when we are just seeing Storm, Jean, Nightcrawler and Scott becoming the fully-costumed X-Men --- and Storm won't even join the team until the end of X-Men: Apocalypse.

The timing/chronology doesn't feel quite right to me. I wonder if they have thought it through (probably not!).

The New Mutants seems like something best suited to a time after X3, or after the corrected future of DoFP. But I guess if they leap forward another decade, it might work --- though all these decade jumps make me feel i am missing loads of stories that happened in the intervening years.

Don't see an issue wherever or whenever this is set as long as it's it's own thing. If its indeed set in 80s somewhere then all they have to do is separate them from the young X-Men team by a couple years at least. As always it comes down to the writing. Really like those casting rumors. Hope they end up being true.

New mutants is probably gonna be nothing like what is expected, it could end up being more name then concept
