It's encouraging to see Boone hashtag certain images with Bill Sienkiewicz's name too, and he even hashtagged Lockheed's tail on that Magik pic. If Warlock isn't off limits then I guess it wouldn't be hard to bring in Lockheed as well I suppose.

That was very helpful! It's hard to get a read on the kinds of people they are from just their social media sometimes, especially younger actors and actresses. I didn't know they knew each other though and it makes sense she would be okay with commenting on his posts that way!

I know Josh and Bella met up a few times after the new mutants announcement when it first happened. People need to realize Josh is young. He isn't as young as Bella obviously. haha. Basically, Bella wouldn't stop being friends and cool with Josh if she lost the part. These actresses know it's part of the business.

Bella is very talented. So is Maisie from what i've seen. I don't watch GOT and i have seen 90% of what Bella has done so i can't really be unbiased but i will say from what ive heard about Maisie. I'd be happy with either.

A while back before the Sophie casting a lot of people wanted Bella for Jean as well. But as i pointed out then. I think they wanted someone a little older then Bella was at the time to play Jean and that seems to have turned out great.

And hey.. You don't want to burn bridges. If theres a new mutants sequel? She may be first on his list. Who knows. But anyway. Until it's official, of course were going to be reading into every little thing. Cause Maisie is great but so is Bella. And Because of this Bella campaign for Wolfsbane last year and you have Bella who is very vocal on twitter and interacts...and tweets like... "Yeah. JOSH!!!!" after my friend tweeted him saying Bella should be Wolfsbane. Bella RTs it and goes "YEAH. JOSH!!"

Honestly though. I'm pretty sure Maisie has the role. But if you are wondering about those comments from bella to josh and there relationship then yeah.. While there was a big campaign last year. They are friends. No evidence it has anything to do with Wolfsbane. Hell, Bella follows me. I've tweet about..."Well looks like Victory and Bella didn't get Wolfsbane or Magik. But these look like good castings." And of course Bella and Victory didn't respond. They both follow me. I did a Vic campaign for Magik as well. Josh then followed Victory on Instagram after i brought her up to him cause she has the look. But again these are big roles. A lot of people go out. It's an honor to even be looked at for these parts and the girl they cast for Magik is just coming off an acclaimed performance and this Victory hasn't done much lately. Stuff happens. As long as they get it right at the end all i care about.

Now, let's just get some official announcements.

If we get sequels then I hope we see later New Mutant additions such as Rictor, Boom Boom, Skids, Rusty Collins, Warpath and Lila Cheney.

Try finding The New Mutants Saga, its not really a tradepaperback and it only contains a few pages but I got it in my comic-book store for free. And it pretty much summarizes like the entire run of the first series.

Boone also retweeted a tweet from Alex Shipp and her Storm billboard. Only other main X-Men related retweet he has is the final Apocalypse trailer and the DP bluray release. I'm down with both James and Alex being on board, as these are the kinds of things that kinda need to happen to expand these characters over different films, but I do wonder if they'd ever set it in the present and just flat out replace the OT. I don't think Boone would make Illyana older than Pyotr so.

she's perfect bc Rahne is supposed to be a short 13 year old girl (5'2). It helps make her look like the most young and innocent one in the group. She may not even get a lupine form in this film. Her powers at first just may be to morph into a wolf. I beleive thats how her powers were when they initially manifested till they developed more later on

Illyana has been aged and deaged in the books so I have no problem with her being older here. I doubt this will intersect with the future day movies so she'll likely never run into him but if she did, they could use magic and limbo to explain why she's younger in the future

Xavier's.new mutants like comics often get into trouble on their own adventres.

if they ever crossover, they can adapt the Phalanx Covenant. Outside of Generation Next, it wasnt executed that well in the books but the concept is neat and I can see it working on film. I'd place Warlock at the center of it and draw inspiration from TAS adaptation with it being about an alien invasion. Id have Magus come to Earth for Warlock while plotting a takeover with the rest of the Phalanx/Technarchy. Although thinking about that, I can see how there could be criticisms that its too similar to Avengers
