I still feel there won't be a huge time jump between end of apocalypse and new mutants.I still think storm is supporting character who gets involved when whatever adventre the
new mutants get into.Similar to Colossus in deadpool.

I'd say CGI for when she's fully a wolf. Obviously no CGI when she looks like a human. I'd probably go CGI for the transitional form, although makeup could work (the problem is she doesn't have clothes in that form so it would look like a suit if done with poor makeup).

Maisie's height might be an issue in terms of bringing Wolfsbane to life. Hoult can do it because he's 6'3 but Maisie is 5'1. But they're pretty good at wolfman makeup as evidenced by Beast.

5'1 is perfect for a 12 year old Scottish girl.

Is Magik older than Colossus in any serie?

Didn't they "age" up Magik when she was in limbo or something? If they wanted to, they can easily do that. We also don't know Colossus age in the new time line/DP. He could easily be late 40's, making him a teen in the late 80s (which I think is when the movie would take place).

I know Boone has mentioned the supernatural. So, I imagine Limbo will be involved with Magik.

Ugh, I hope not and thats completely unnecesary. If anything they should just make them closer in age. Have him be 7 years old and she 5. She gets trapped in limbo, is aged 10 years. That puts her at an age where she can be a New Mutant while retaining the sibling order and keeps his age as it should be in the present

Well, seeing that DOFP is set in the future, I personally don't see any of the additional mutants not being recast with younger actors.

they after DOFP time travel will likely ignore the DOFP version of sunspot and have him as
teenager in 1980's.similar to how jubilee bcame same age as cyclops,jean,and storm and how angel and psylocke now older than cyclops,jean,and storm.or how deadpool and apparently gambit are in present day.

They could just ignore the Sunspot that appeared in DOFP.

This franchise has so many continuity errors, plot holes and contradictions and after how many movies, its obvious they dont care. One minor character that barely spoke isnt going to be when they put their foot down and try to stick with whats been established. Sunspot is integral to New Mutants. DOFP will simply be disregarded

They need to map out how they will use certain characters.I feel like sometimes, some characters are added just for the visuals without considering the possibility of that character coming back in the future movies and sometimes they just want put a familiar face for the fans (like Gambit, Emma, Banshee, Psylocke and Bishop) without a proper plan for them in the future. And when the time comes that they want to use that character again, they'll just retcon and ignore the first version.

There is no reason to ignore DOFP sunspot since they are casting a younger actor anyway so it can still be a younger version of that sunspot

It'd have to be set in the mid-late 2000s if you want the character to line up with the actor's actual age. Although the actor at the time of 2023 could pass for a guy in his 20s, so it shouldn't be an issue if he's a young adult currently.
They'd be casting people 18 & up, anyways, for the New Mutants.
