NO SPOILERS I SWEAR

The Autobot voices were all Spot on, as were Megatron and Barricade. The action was alrigt but Bay went for his over shakey in the action style that cause the island to bomb....you think he'd learn. Also I was dissapointed by the heavy amount of continuity errors in the film (Remember the lamp from Spider-man?) Just watch the Doughnut plate after Anthony Anderson eats em.

The scale issue was also an issue, the cube changed shape and the glasses....man the glasses, a normal pair of glasses is way way too big when Optimus picks them up. I think the rbots went in and out of scale a little too (I'll watch closer when I go again tomorrow)

Also some of the storytelling didn't portay well at all [blackout]the Cube shrinking was not portrayed well at all, and neither was whe Frenzy cut his own head off[/blackout] and near the end when [blackout]sam used the allspark to defeat Mgatron, well to me it really made no sense....it took me a good five minutes of thinking to figure that out, because I has it confused with the creation matrix from the tradiotional stories[/blackout] and then some minor things were just left unresolved like [blackout]Scropinok and the Mountain Dew Machine Robot[/blackout]

Just all in all the Filmmaking was crap, I expected better from Michael bay in such a huge scaled film, but he really messed up a lot of the little things and I think that in a film of this scale the action shoul have been easier to follow.

All in all I probably only give it a 4 out of 10 though I know the actuall reviews are going to be way way better.....I'm just very critical of the little things.

hmmm everyone i know who's scene advanced screenings loved it.. thought it was litterally one of the best movies in a long while. one of them being a huge movie friend of mine who will litterally hack everything apart like you did this.. and he's usually right, so im pretty excited to see for myself

as for scale issues.. that can easily be blamed on there cheap budget they apartently did the movie on, or the fact that it seems the transformers in the movie can take on any shape or size

Rough is hard to please. Hence why he has every action figure, none complete him.

he thinks one day it will equal the love of his dream woman... but rough, figs won't love you back....

I wanna see it. But like most stupid movie companies, they support pirating by making other countries wait. How could they release a movie about GIANT FREAKING ROBOTS a MONTH AFTER it's release in the states IN JAPAN?!

its got pushed back to july 27th a day after my birthday now...thats just annoying.

I personally thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long, looong time. excellent film.

Upon seeing it second time I will bump it up to a 6/10, it's just that I am very critical of continuity and stuff and I feel that some huge errors like that are the mark of a bad director. (Like in the Movie Fled there is a scene where Steven Baldwin taked off a sweater and is in a T-shirt for most of the scene, but from certain angles he's still wearing the Sweater) and shortly into the film you will see clearly that Bumblebee's passenger door is open and then moments later it's closed, now I know this can be explained because he's a frikking alien robot car....but that doesn't explain the Dougnuts......

Anyway, I see no logical reason why Ratchet couldn't have been an actual Ambulance.....I also see no need for a Sequel.......plus the fil didn't set up the Decepticons enough, they just kinda showed up....and there was way too much Fenzy.

And I read an interview with Michael Bay and he talked about how passionate he was about this film and then in other parts of the interview he didn't even know the Transformer's names.

So Starscream's voice sucked, or did he not even talk at all???

It wasn't high pitched, now I know this is a new imagination of these characters and his G1 voice is annoying as hell....but it coulda been a litle higher....especially since he only had 2 or 3 lines. and no I hate Megarton and want to overthrow him and take over the deceptiocns sub plot at all.

Yeah, we've all seen it but no one reported it....you know why? Cause no one cares

I've been a Transformers fan for 20+ years and I have NO problem saying that G1.....sucked, hard. Sure I loved it when I was 5 but theres no way that I could go back and ever watch them again. I can barely set through the first movie without rolling my eyes at how stupid things are.

Transfomers (2007) captured what they were in the comics, with some light moments from the cartoon. Not to mention that Optimus himself had a LOT of traits from Optimus Primal from Beast Wars (by far the best Transformers show of all time.)

I'm glad Starscream sounded nothing like he did in G1, his G1 voice is annoying and he sounds like a little girl, same goes for Megatron, David Kaye (Megatron in beast wars, armada and pretty much everything else) was who I was pulling for but Hugo Weaving pulled it off great.

My official review:

Maybe I'm the wrong guy to write an honest review about Transformers without letting my adoration of the franchise cloud my vision, but I can safely say that at this moment, right now, Michael Bay's Transformers is my favourite movie of all time.

Un-FREAKING-believable.

Not only did he nail the characters perfectly, he nailed the atmosphere of what a Transformers movie should be like. The Autobots are hilarious, full of character and personality, the Decepticons are a group of badass mofos that not even the Autobots want to mess with... and Optimus Prime rocks your world in every way imaginable.

Megatron's a badass. Starscream kicks mega ass yet still fails to garner any appreciation from Megatron. Bumblebee is a protector, a guardian of sorts, and his blind devotion for his human pal is the cog around which everything revolves.

Simply put, it's Transformers, just as you remember it. And the awe-inspiring visuals.... I had a grin so wide on my face for 2.5 hours that my muscles hurt when the movie let out.

I also saw this with the best audience ever. The place was jam-packed, and roared with approval probably 4 or 5 times throughout the film. The opening narration by Prime gave the entire theater goosebumps, you could feel it, there was just so much anticipation, hell even during the commercials before the previews, people were cheering and clapping... for car commercials.

Basically, this was the perfect movie. But I'm not sure if I feel that way because I'm such a huge fan of the property or if it's just that damn good.

All I know, is my wife and I sat in a crammed theater of hundreds of people, and the audience ranged widely from toddlers to grown adults, and every single one of them was laughing, clapping, cheering and just plain old having a kickass time at the movies the entire time.

I want to see this again. And again. And hell.... even again. Then, I will make this my first HD purchase... someone please tell me that Dreamworks supports Blu-Ray.

GO SEE THIS NOW. If you don't see this in theaters, but have some yearning to check it out and figure you'll just wait for DVD... SHAME ON YOU. If 1 movie was ever meant to be seen on the big screen, THIS IS IT.

Go now. Don't ask anymore questions, just rush out and buy tickets to this tonight. You can thank me later.

I'd give Transformers a solid 10/10 no problem, best time I've had at the theater in YEARS! Jack who? Spider what? Transformers is a movie that will show you what a summer blockbuster should be. Flat out awesome entertainment.

dude.. why those things look like crap... i can understand buying cool things.. but crap... ill never understand

I know they suck ass, but I'm gonna keep getting them, they nicely round out my old Famous Covers figs.

Ah well, at least you can admit it and as long as your not hurting anyone, spend away.
