The NEXT generation of great filmmakers!

we should do another thread for the next generation of great actors and actresses.

I do but I wasn't joking, films are nothing without the actors and actresses.

Yeah... which is why I am surprised at how it looks there are few actors the next generation of great actors.

Yeah, these actors do do some crappy films and tv shows but then there are others like Micheal Cera, Ellen Page, MIcheal Angarano, anyone who's associated with Judd Apatow, a couple of kid actors I don't feel like posting even though they might get caught in the whole kid star thing. Oh and Shia labeouf

Yeah, see there is so little of them, I had guessed about 80% of your list...

Shame really... stupid young actors and their inability to be great but almost perfect ability to get in trouble.

The next generation of great actors/actresses are:
Michael Cera
Ellen Page
Freddie Highmore (sp?)

As for Seth Rogen...he has been around for over a decade. He was a castmember on Freaks and Geeks. Remember?

Add to next actors:
Emile Hirsch
America Ferrara
and the young cast of Chumscrubber

very good, If anyone has seen Brick then that's a really good cast of actors and actressese as well. When I think Of young actors I basically mean anyone under tha age of 23-25

George Clooney is becoming an excellent director.

Other than him, Bennett Miller and Jason Reitman strike me as some of the most talented newcomers to hit Hollywood in recent years.

Two writers I can't wait to see more of is, Diablo Cody and Zack Helm.

Also, Tony Gilroy did a pretty awesome job as a first time director on Michael Clayton.

I'm not sure how long David Slade has been directing, but Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night looked pretty damn great. I can see him hitting it big.

I think D.J. Caruso could be considered as part of the next generation of great filmmakers. Disturbia was his first well-known flick, but some of his past projects have gotten praise as well. And he's also currently directing a movie called Eagle Eye with Shia LeBeauf and Michelle Monaghan.
