The Official 24: Day 7 Thread /spoilers/

...must...steer away....from clips...

Oh they're short and don't reveal anything we don't know already.

1st one is Jack/Tony fighting,
2nd is has the President finding out info about the domestic terrorist group.

So Kim is coming back for an episode or two? I really hope they don't go down the cliched path and kill her off.

They don't really need to, but I wouldn't mind if they do. She's less than a bit player at this point, and every time I look at her I still see useless treks through the backwoods and ******ed damsel-in-distress scenarios every other week. Kim never served any good purpose in the show.

right now... and without knowing how and why they bring Kim back in.... i can't see the point of her appearing at all. Dy five had her say 'I love you but stay away'. That, for me, was the end of her character in 24.

but if it's done right then it could be good.......

Have they finished filming the whole season yet?

Towards the end of the season. For whatever reason. Its multiple episodes.

Finished 24 days before the premiere.

I agree. I figured we'd never see her again (because Elisha Cuthbert is clearly concentrating on her movie career), and I was fine with that. It was a nice end to an utterly useless character--better than she deserved, really. So I have no idea why they'd bring her back now...

Bringing Kim back makes perfect sense. Jack has no place in the world and Redemption emphasized that. Bringing his daughter

and grandchild

into play may help him find that place.

But finding a place means nothing because he's obviously going to have to lose it again for season 8. I've found in all the years I've been watching 24 that I prefer the unhappy endings that can lead straight into the next season over the happy endings that wind up with a big chunk of time cut out between seasons wherein everything good in Jack's life gets f***ed up anyway and he's right back in his usual position as fugitive/outlaw/lone covert operative/loner by the next season. It's pretty obvious that Jack can't get a real happy ending until the very end of the series, so why even put up the pretense?

Isn't this going to be the last season? Or have they already started talking season 8?

Oh, I don't know. If it's the last season, then yeah, giving Jack a new, non-lethal purpose in life with Kim would be a good ending.

Depends on the ratings. The four hour premiere will likely get good ratings around 13 million but if they start to drop and goes below 10 million I think they'll end the show just because it costs so much to make.

They've never said this would be the last, I think they intended on continuing but I hope its the last. Jon Cassar said he likes the sound of 24/7. They considered it during season five.

So how long do you guys give til those first episodes leak in the torrents?

Couple hours after they premiere.

Critics in the media have already been sent the first 4 episodes so even those could end up on the internet.

Isn't Fox going to put it up on their website the day after anyway? I'll just wait for that.

Yeah, well, I'm a huge fan of British TV and iPlayer doesn't work in Florida. We all have sob stories. :oldrazz:
