Jason Bateman would make a great Hank Pym, and Simon Pegg would be perfect for Scott Lang. Ant-Man may be a character no one's ever heard of, but with the team who did Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead behind it, people will go see it.

As for Hank, some people's suggestions of James Spader or Alan Tydyk are plain awful. I'd go for someone like Aaron Eckhart, who could seem both heroic and later mentally unbalanced, like he was in The Dark Knight. You need someone who can definitely be heroic.

For Scott, I would go for:

Simon Baker (not Simon Pegg who seems completely off as a choice) who looks like the comic version of the character that was invented by David Michellinie and Bob Layton.

Or if not him, then Michael C Hall. Heck, Marvel Legends Ant-Man (who was the Scott Lang version) even looks like him:

Whoever plays Hank Pym has to have three bases covered: 1) superhero, 2) superscientist, and 3) superpsycho.

Michael C. Hall is, of course, an obvious choice, but I am so goddam tired of him being suggested for EVERY role from Joker to Hypno Hustler to Wonder Woman, that I'm going to throw another option out there, just to be different.

This might seem like an out-of-the-blue choice, but I think Neil Patrick Harris would be good as Ant-Man. If not him, then maybe Simon Pegg.
