The Gray Man (Gosling, Evans, Russos)

If they can trim down the budget then I think it will be worth it

I'm more interested in what the spin-off will be.

If the action stays on this level, why not.
But i dont see what you can do with a sequel.
Its not like they built a interesting enough world, and i really cant say that any of the characters are really memorable.

Those at netflix remind me off that one Family guy joke i think, where they wrote something on balls, threw them in a water tank and had dolphins randomly pick a bunch of these balls to create a show/episode.

They randomly decide what to cancel, what gets a sequel etc...no clear line there.

Honestly, Evans has always been great and can elevate bad material. I remember back when he was in crap like F4 and The Losers, he made those films somewhat watchable. That’s more than I can say for anyone else in those movies (the latter featured a really talented cast too).

I have a soft spot for Not Another Teen Movie, largely because of Evans.

Oh hell yeah. That’s one of my favorites of the parody genre. I think that was the first thing I ever saw him in. He did a great Freddie Prinze Jr. impression. :funny:

“Janie’s got a gun…”

5/10

Dreadful first hour, but had an entertaining second hour of non-stop action. Overall a generic offering in an already over saturated genre. We’re all better off watching Mission Impossible, James Bond, and John Wick.

There are 11 published Gray Man books with a twelfth releasing in February. They've got material for multiple films.

i like how she looks like she is in shadow yet the background is bright.

Wow I had no idea this was based on a series of books. You would think they would have said that in the marketing.

Well, if you're subscribed to Netflix, it’s front and centre immediately ready to be clicked so I think marketing is certainly there for it.

I'll believe a sequel is happening when it's filming. We've heard plenty of studios claim and announce a sequel and it never comes out.
Netflix Announced ‘Gray Man’ Sequel To Distract From Disappointing Ratings

Apparently numbers are ok, but not great, especially for what is deemed Netflix’s most expensive movie.

I was going to say I have barely heard one peep out of this movie. This worst I heard was "eh" the best I heard is "Its ok." Not many praising or thrashing the movie. It's kinda just...there
But seeing it did worse than Red Notice AND Don't Look Up? That's not good at all. Damn it even opened worse than The Adam Project.

Hope a sequel happens for fans of the first one, but yeah I just can't see a sequel happening. But I've been wrong plenty

I really liked the vibe established in the first act, but as the movie continued on it was just generic fare. Evans went full ham and I get he was purposely trying to be a *****ebag, but it was almost too over the top for my own tastes because he's quipping at every corner to the point it was distracting (as if he was playing the Joker or something).
