Civil War The Official Black Panther Thread!

Isn't February a month for crappy films to be released?

Deadpool came out in February.

January and February used to be a dumping ground in the past, but these days some HUGE movies have been released early in the year.

Marvel chose a February release date for 3 reasons:

1. Black Panther leads directly into Infinity War which comes out 3 months later

2. February is Black history month. I'm sure they'll be looking to capitalize on that to some degree or another.

3. There's little to no box office competition in February of that year. The only other major release that month is a 50 Shades movie.

Black Panther is going to be an absolute beast in this. I get the feeling he ain't gonna take no ones ****...except maybe Captain America since it's his movie.

Black Panther threw a grenade and killed seven Hydra agents. And then the grenade exploded. :woot:

Well, he ****s up Cap's shield pretty good. I'd like to see him switch sides and **** Tony's world up with the ebony blade.

I would post that panel from the comics because it's badass, but I'm on my iPhone and at work.

Legend has it when Black Panther does push ups. He doesn't push himself up he pushes the Earth down.

Yeah it is a dumping ground, but for people the reputation doesn't seem to keep them away if the film itself actually looks good.

LOL Panther on that Chuck Norris status now

Chuck Norris wishes he was as badass as Black Panther:

I also love Ross' reaction to whole thing :hehe:

Oh wow dude knocked out basically the devil? How did I miss this?

It was during the first arc of Priest's run. Until very recently Marvel had done a piss poor job of collecting and promoting that series. Priest is to Black Panther what Frank Miller is to Daredevil.

Ah thanks!

With the way BP is on the warpath to whoop Bucky into the afterlife, I'd love to see something similarly badass to this...

That was a great story arc.

In an Illuminati book, Namor defeated Iron Man after they got into a scuffle. Granted it was in Namor's territory, the ocean.

Namor just ripped off Tony's helmet underwater.

Yeah Namor is a badass. Maybe in Phase 4 with the Inhumans as I feel like either that or debut with the Fantastic 4 would make sense.

Man Disney infinity really nailed his movements down. He looks graceful yet anima like in his attacks and motions. It's beautiful.

Futuristic and tribal like another favorite character of mine, the predator.

It almost looks too good to wear for risk of dirtying and damaging it. It's so beautiful to behold.

Really like what I've seen of BP's costume so far. Can't wait to see what it looks like in its finished form on-screen.
