Do I even have the SHH authority to make this thread? I don't think I do, but I'm certainly falling in love with the character! So this is to the anti-Wonder Woman of the Marvel Universe, the OTHER babe who wore red.

Well, the thread's here, so clearly you do have the authority. I don't know how much activity you'll see in it since Elektra doesn't currently have a series, but you're always welcome to create a thread if you want to talk about something comics-related that doesn't fit elsewhere.

Elektra is a tough one because outside of DD she hasn't done much. Once upon a time she was in Wolverine as a major supporting character. Other than that and the Skrull fiasco she's kind of a D lister. I like her though.

Yeah, it barely made it to a year I think....not sure. I gotta look that one up.

No, it lasted way longer than that. It was a Marvel Knights series. A lot of people liked it, as I recall, and it had good reviews from critics. I think she learned a bunch of new ninja magic in it or something. I don't know, I never read it. I remember it because Mystique, which I did read for a while, got compared to it a lot.

You're probably right. My tastes in books were pretty bland back then. If it wasn't Spider-Man, Cap, X-Men or Avengers, I didn't bother. Eventually I started taking chances on other books and lower level characters.

I was in full-on sample mode back then. I tried practically everything Marvel published for at least an issue or two if I could afford it. Never Elektra, though. I guess I realized even back then that Daredevil and his whole corner of the universe were not for me.

Well, Elektra did have her share of graphic novels, and mini-series'. ELEKTRA: ASSASSINS is still one of the most stark satires I've read in mainstream comics! She deserves her own thread as far as I'm concerned. But I'm just starting to read up on her, other than the FM Daredevil run I never really found a good place for her, but clearly she's a popular character, one of the more memorable Marvel superheroines out there. So why not right?
