On the comics front, incidentally…it was just announced by Marvel that I’m going to be taking over and re-launching the Thor monthly title. Because this is a big mythological show, it’s very much in my wheelhouse, as it were, and it’s really important to make this work. So I’m giving some thought to pulling back on some of the other comics work, notably FF, to make room to give this my full attention

This is good news.Had this man been writing Thor,Spidey and FF it would be ridiculous.Id rather have him off ASM but this is good enough.

This has definitely got to make Millar somewhat happy.Whether he has the time to do it though is another question.

Doubt it,they got that bigass followup project to CW.

I wouldn't mind that, as long as unlike CW Millar would give Reed his heart back.

Interesting. I'm wondering who will take over. New creative team and new members? That's a big shift.

I wouldn't mind seeing JMS stay, he's done a pretty good job thus far. Yeah, 3 big titles is a lot, but he only started FF a short time ago.

Millar/Hitch FF 2007.

No. No no no no no no dear God no. It's okay for The Ultimates to be two or three issues of anti-American propaganda per year, but NOT the FF. The Fantastic Four need to be whimsical and fun.

You obviously haven't read Mark's UF4 run.

Im just stating the obvious, though I really wouldnt mind Millar with a faster artsist on the book.

I have, and it's fine for the Ultimate FF, but... it's not a Millar/Hitch thing. Maybe it's just me, but when I think of Millar working with Hitch, all I can see is an over-politicized story. Like he'll have Dr. Doom blow up America and make it seem like America deserved it or something.

And I do not want the guy writing Ultimate FF writing the regular FF as well, because as Bendis has proved whenever he writes Spider-Man, to him they are one and the same. I'd rather not take the risk of getting a 616 FF that is no different from the Ultimate FF.

Yeah really, I know its fun to put Millar in this I hate America stereotype but its not always the case.

I know, but what can I say? Civil War has left me with alot of Millar-negativity that needs to be used every chance I get.

JMS leaving FF....YES!!!...one down...all the rest of the other titles he writes to go.

Am I sounding like a JMS hater....not really. I just hate every title he currently writes. :)

I'd prefer he drop ASM.

Here's why:

1) He's been writing it for four years, and seems to be out of steam.

2) He's doing a good job with FF. His Ben & Johnny vs the Hulk issues were easily the best FF/Hulk throwdown in DECADES....simply riveting.

3) Marvel has a bunch of writers right now who would be GREAT on ASM; Dan Slott, Jeph Loeb, Dan Slott, Sean McKeever, Dan Slott, Robert Kirkman, Dan Slott, Zeb Wells......oh, and did i mention Dan Slott? :word:

4) Because i said so.

Agreed! Don't know why all the hate for JMS. He's doing a decent job on ASM and SS. Matter of fact, I wouldn't even be buyin F4 if he wasn't writing it. I like him as a writer. Everyone keeps holding Sins Past and the Other over his head but they aint nowhere near as bad as people make them. Some people just love to hate. But that's just my opinion. :o

Millar's not writing UF4 anymore

Also just because bendis does it doesn't mean millar would. They have vastly different writing styles

He's only worked with Hitch once. Ultimates, from the get go, was intended to be based heavily in military/political concepts. The FF aren't about that at all. Millar isn;t an idiot.

I doubt that would happen.

While I don't think JMS has done a bad job on FF, I'll be quite interested to see someone new on the title - if it's a good writer, at least.

Millar...I don't know about. I LOVE his Ultimate stuff. Some of my favorite comics ever. But so far, for me at least, his in-616 stuff (MKSM, CW) has been very subpar to what he's done in the Ultimate U.

Well, like I said. Civil War has alot of Millar-Negativity welling up within me and I need to let it out in any outlet possible.
