I can't believe they are killing off the Invisible Woman. I wonder how they will do that and will they bring her back??

Is this the first time that she has died (in the comic verse)???

Where did you hear they were killing her off?

And yes, they did. Last year, but it was self contained to that issue. Johnny went back in time and saved her. Course, theres the Kang paradox, so you can't change the past, just create an alternate future where she didn't die, which is essentially why she's still alive or whatever.

Does anyone really believe she'll be "dead" for long? The FF will always come back to being Johnny, Sue, Reed, and Ben at some point; it's one of the few things you can be absolutely sure of in comics.

Once agian, where was it said she was gonna die?

Marvel said:
FANTASTIC FOUR # 560
The Story: THE DEATH OF THE INVISIBLE WOMAN! Part three: EXODUS

FANTASTIC FOUR # 561
The Story: “The Death of the Invisible Woman” concludes, with…well, the death of the Invisible Woman!

FANTASTIC FOUR # 562
The Story: The story we had to call “A Fantastic Four Wedding And A Funeral”…
:yay:

"Fantastic Four Wedding and a Funeral..." ha. Funny.:o

There is a fear that because it is Mark Millar, it would be done for "a while" if he wanted to. Anything he and Bendis write is "instantly canonized" and other writers rarely undo it. That said, Sue's death has been promised every few years and it never sticks. I doubt that Marvel would destroy their first family completely and for long. So I am cautious, but not overly worried.

Every few years? Geez, why's the only woman on the team so often a corpse hazard? There's some subconscious shenanigans going on there.

Then again, stories where Reed is all depressed and pissed off with the beard he will inevitably grow are always awesome. Plus the resurrections are always nice. Ben's was pretty awesome. Stormed the gates of Heaven to get him back.

Say what you want about Universe X, but you can't tell me Sue's Resurrection wasn't heart warming.

In this case, I think it's because she's the character who's death would carry the most emotional impact, other than maybe Ben.

Johnny should die. The rest of the team would be like, "We're all so sorry, Sue, but... well, you know, he was kind of a dick..."

Do you really think that's how Ben would react? I mean, honestly? The big lug'd be in tears and you know it.

Nobody can die!!!

This isn't the Justice League or Green Lantern where someone can just don the uniform and everything will eventually be alright! This is the goddamn Fantastic Four! This is a goddamn family!

Knowing the fact in the title of the arc says to me that it's going to be schtick. Valeria or the mysterious nanny or something will happen involving a misperception about the term "The Death of the Invisible Woman".

Just like when the Invisible Girl became the Invisible Woman. Byrne said it was going to be the end of the Invisible Girl and the "last" issue.

You can't break up the 4.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

You kidding? Comic books are FULL of fears about women. Lord knows the editorial boards of a few EIC's have been deathly afraid of Peter daring to settle down with any since about the 80's at least. Writers seem to loath marriage so much that I become curious about their own. ;)

Wow, maybe she will die, read this: http://marvel.com/news/comicstories.5018.Fantastic_Four~colon~_Life_Without_Sue
By Tim Stevens

On October 22 in FANTASTIC FOUR #561, the Invisible Woman will die. Guaranteed. After all, the issue does mark the conclusion of Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch's blockbuster storyline, "The Death of Invisible Woman."

Since Sue Storm has always been the heart and soul of the Fantastic Four, the team will no doubt be left reeling without her. However, this will not be the first time her husband Reed, brother Johnny, and friend Ben have had to go without her.

Something's fishy here though, why would marvel so blatently reveal to us that she's going to die? And if she's really going to die, how come there's barely any hype for this story?

I don't doubt that she'll die or be removed from the title somehow. My point is that it's not a big deal because she'll inevitably come back, and Millar and Hitch trying to pass off the ending to their run as anything else just makes you realize how big a collective ego those two pompous *****ebags have.

Official Marvel statements always can be read with a grain, or a ton, of salt. They also said "dead is dead" once. ;)

And then they overturned it but neglected to give a similar interview proudly proclaiming "dead still means dead but only some of the time now, 'cause we realized our triggerhappy writers were writing us into corners everywhere."

#561 isn't the end of their run.

It's been done.

Now come up with something as intriguing as ...

Oh I dunno... off the top of my head... Wakanda. Couldn't the FF go to a new country? Or head to space? Or go to the Negative Zone? Or the Microverse? Or the Ultimateverse? Or to Hell? Or to ancient rome because Kang is taking over the world again? Or...

:ff: :ff: :ff:

They're doin 16 issues right? Maybe Millar's plannin on bringin her back for the finale?

They're doing the equivalent of 16 issues, but I think a bunch of that will be in one big special.
