EDIT X-MEN: THE LAST STAND​

SOOOOO the dvd is coming out..and I'v been thinking... why not all come together and well.. fix X3! Maybe I have a good idea or maybe I'm out of mind lol. Soo what I mean is..let us all come together and contribute to editing the last stand..put scenes in, take scenes out, add effects. So whose with me??

For starters:

1. Put Cyke back in and have him lead the team in the final battle
2. Finish effects on Colossus (or use the X2 effects)
3. Either edit out Psylocke or give her something useful to do. Don't [BLACKOUT]kill[/BLACKOUT] her either way.

Nice idea. Good luck - I'll be back to see how you get on. The Colossus effects definitely need a revamp and both Cyke's and Psylocke's deaths need to be edited out.

^^^ Cyke's death was never seen. Only implied in the dialogue. Take out the part where Xavier says "you killed Cyke, didn't you? and change it to something like "What happened to SCott?" With Jean hysterically crying "I don't know!" And you have that fixed.

As for Psylocke, the camera suspiciously pans out of the way so you don't see what happened to her. Coincidence?

well penn did say she wasnt intended to be psylocke. I just think she was Kwannon so Im ok with that.

Ah yes. Even if he couldn't hear Jean, Xavier should have been able to sense that Scott was hallucinating and crying out in agony for months. But then again, this isn't the Xavier we know. This Xavier is more of a "stop whining!" and "get over it!" kinda guy...

But then again "he was a changed man" so all goes

Wait a minute. Xavier admits that his range is limited without the use of Cerebro. He needed to use it to find Marie in X1, and for whatever he was using it for in X2. And he had to be driven to the train station in order to do his mind-control number on Toad and Sabretooth. So how the heck did he sense Scott "die" on the other side of the continent? Did he even admit it or was it a cheap one-liner to Jean: "you couldn't control it so you ended up killing the man you love"?

I still think Scott's demise could be altered just by changing 1-2 lines of Dialogue. Instead of declaring "you killed him?" Just stick with "what happened to him" and "I dunno" as the answer. And of course take out the grave.

Apparently, Scott wasn't the only "changed man". Looks like Xavier went through some changes as well. Same with Jean. And Marie. And Kitty. Heck she doesn't even look like herself

Whoever it is, the cameo was quite pointless. I'll take a course in film editing and get rid of that part personally for you

well i mean i dont mind the role.. the shadow scene was cool. again i dont think it was psylocke. what im looking for is ideas.. contrubutions. I plan on adding scenes and taking out others. Also I would like it if someone(s) could possibly contrubite by making the phoenix effect in her scenes.

i am ordering the region 2 dvd tomorrow and i just added a region free player (hopefully it will work). so hopefully it will all go to plan.

I definetly like the idea of this, but isn't there a thread on this already by Seen?
Anyway, my suggestions:

Put back in Xavier's opening monologue. It's consistent with the other 2 movies. It's like the "a long time ago, in a Galaxy far far away..." in Star Wars.

If there is any more footage of the Danger Room on the DVD, add it in, if you can make it make sense. Though it's an ejoyable scene, it's horribly editted.

Add Storm's lightning punches into the battle at Jean's house, but not the whole scene. Just show her defending herself, instead of getting her ass kicked.

Though I haven't seen those scenes yet, put in the new schoolyear begins scene, and Rogue's alternative ending.

That's it for now. I haven't seen all of the deleted scenes yet, just those that have been released online, so I can't say what may, and what may not work.

There's only a few things they need to do to fix X-3.

1. Give Rogue more screentime
2. Have Rogue in final battle
3. Have Cyclops in final battle
4. Finish Phoenix effects and have firebird
5. Have at least one scene with both Rogue and Pyro in it together
6. Failing the above, kill Iceman and introduce Gambit
7. Kill Storm, or at least have her superglued to a chair
8. Allow Beast and Angel the screentime they deserved.

That would have been great during the final battle. Storm whipping out tidal waves, electrical storms and tornadoes but superglued to a chair with her mouth taped up.

Don't get me wrong, I love the character of Storm in principle, but it felt as though she stole everyone else's fair share of screentime.
