What? You didn't like the song from Ghostbusters II?

I don't really remember it at the moment.

When I was a kid I had about 4 movies. Ghostbusters, E.T., Batman, and the first TMNT movie. So I've watched those all at least 100 times each probably. My favorite part of the first Ghostbusters was always the very begnining which had that same music as the game will have.

Nope. Not going to watch it. *clicks link*

No sir, not me. *waits for the advertisement to finish*

You see, I have what's called restraint. *clicks play*

I'll just wait for the game to enjoy it. *feels like a kid again*

:woot:

Man... I have no will power. I tried to stay away but I couldn't, I watched the opening. My whole body is tingling! Why can't I have this game now?

Dude, I got huge chills when the flashlight shined over that [BLACKOUT]Gozer[/BLACKOUT] exhibit sign.

A new, awesome Star Trek movie AND an amazing Ghostbusters game in back to back months? I don't think I can handle it. I'm gonna have a geek-overload....

Well, I have a lot of faith in the Ghostbusters game, but not much for the Star Trek movie. I hope it'll be awesome, too, but my expectations are very low

Same here. I wasn't even going to watch the Star Trek movie initially, but I figured I might as well since I love the franchise.

Iv always hated Star Trek but I kinda want to see this new film.

But yes, it's gonna be an awesome summer thanks to Ghostbusters!

Well, I'm a Trek fan and I think the new movie looks incredible and I can't wait to see it.

But yeah...Star Trek, Ghostbusters, and don't forget Terminator! It's going to be a good summer, indeed.

*cue the Ghostbusters theme song*

New Trek just doesn't look at that good to me. I've also read that they tried to make it more of an action movie, which I have no problems with action being in it, but I've always took Star Trek should focus more on exploration, story and character. Not saying this movie won't have that stuff, but from early reviews/previews I've read I get the impression that's not the direction they really take. Though, I can understand that, it's what the masses want and Star Trek needs some rejuvenation.

I don't really care as much about the TOS characters, except Spock, then some of the later show. I'm more then willing to try it out, but I'm not sure about it, we'll see in a few weeks I guess.

Ghostbusters, though, this I really don't believe will disappoint me

I've actually never been a fan of the Original Series. I'm a TNG era guy all the way, but having said that, I do like the Kirk, Spock, McCoy trifecta. If we were talking about a new Trek TV series, then I would agree 100% that it should focus on exploration and character drama/story rather than action, but personally I don't see anything wrong with a Trek movie that has a little spectacle. Especially when movies in a series only come out once every few years. Especially when Star Trek has been dead for a while and this is it's grand public resurrection.

Oh, yeah, I did like McCoy, too. Never really a fan of Kirk. Even when the movies fleshed him out I still never cared much for him. Only time I ever remember caring that much about him was Generations. Don't know why.

Well, I don't problem with a lot of action, but I have movie or show I've always thought Star Trek should be more on characters and story. That's the main reason I was drawn to Star Trek. I mean, I will check the new one out and all.

Yeah, is a little off topic, guess that was my fault. Anyway, Ghostbusters, yay!

this ghostbusters game is something I've been looking forward to a lot. And with the original cast all lined up (not Moranis sadly....maybe he'll change his mind before the official release and they can do some rush job or something but i highly doubt it) and Ramis and Aykroyd writing it.....it's gonna rule.

Wow, great opening cinematic... all the guys look 1980's young again. I cant wait for this game. Bring on Gozar and the stay puft marshmallow man.

Yea i wish Louis Tully was making a comeback as well, but unfortunately, its not meant to be. The devs couldn't add him in even if they wanted to. The game is finished, its in the final polishing stages now. One of the blogs over at IGN actually talked a little about the Moranis/Weaver situation.

My bad for derailing the conversation. :hehe:

I can not wait to try this game out. It can not get much more perfect than next gen graphics/physics plus the original actors (minus Weaver/Moranis) PLUS a story written by Akroyd and Ramis.

Yea, once the music hit in that cinematic this wave of awesomeness just hit me. Damn i cant wait til June 16th!!

I wish Elmer was alive to see this and score this:csad:

well his MUSIC does live on in this game. I admit hearing Elmer's music playing over the Columbia Pictures logo was pretty sweet, but hearing Ray Parker Jr's Ghostbusters song kick in was icing on an already AWESOME cake :hehe:.

Yea dont worry, the orig score will be in this game. Cant wait to head back to the Sedgwick and hear that classic tune playing as i creep down a hallway waiting for a spook to phase through a wall before i let out an off target proton stream. Damn I'm stoked for this game.
