It's only Friday. I'd wait until the weekend is over to accurately guage how the audience reacts.

Mark Millar needs to shut up because if he ever made his Superman movie then it probably be in worst movie discussion.

And he just kissed goodbye any opportunity of doing anything at DCU or WB, LOL, but that's probably for the best, most of his stuff is terrible.

I hate when profession creative types attack other professionals. If I ever get to become a filmmaker I'm not going to be on Hype running my mouth off about my peer's s**t.

Stop talking as if there will NOT be a sequel... :whatever:

The movie is a turkey even the people at wb weren't happy with hence the marketing is all over the place ... Unless this ends up being critic proof like a Michael Bay film than no I don't see a sequel anytime soon . If anything they will look to do a reboot down the road and stay clear of this . Like they are with Man of Steel

I have a better chance of having a threeway with Jessica Alba & Natalie Portman than there is of there being a GL sequel

Exactly, couldn't be more classless, it's unfortunate.

He could have expressed his feelings about the film in a more, professional manner.

I will not lie I loved Kick Ass but Wanted is a pile of shipt . I highly doubt GL is worse than that turd Mr Millar

What? That's absurd...she may be a crappy actress, but her and Portman are phenomenal milfs.

I can't believe I've lived long enough to hear Portman and Alba referred to as MILFs. Me = old.

It's just been released, I'm sure it'll start plummeting very soon.
haha,ya. I'm sorry to say I kindof agree with Mark Miller on his assement of the movie. It had some decent parts, but for some reason the movie just kindof felt lost on what type of direction it wanted to go. I don't know how to explain it, but it just didn't flow at all and to me wasn't FF4 cheesy, but it was darn close.
Though I won't say its the worst Superhero movie of all time I think thats pushing it,lol..I think GL will make a good DVD/Blu Ray movie just dont think it worked on big screen, and I seen it in 3D,thats another thing I dont' rememeber them using 3D a bunch of times in the movie?????
So,far out of the 3 superhero movies: Xmen>Thor>GL,now just gotta wait on CA...

Word of mouth will prove critical to Green Lantern's fortunes and Ryan Reynold's future as a superhero. ("Is Ryan Reynolds the right choice for this role? We’ll see but who knew that Green Lantern was an intergalactic standup comedian?" a rival studio exec quips to me.) Meanwhile, marketing was not happy with the movie which production delivered, and saw the finished film extremely late in the game. A source tells me. "In this case, marketing didn't have access to more than 70% of the finished movie until two weeks ago." The result is that, at a time when $35M is the average marketing cost and $70M the domestic norm for a big summer tentpole, Warner Bros spent $55M on Green Lantern's domestic TV ads, and a total $100 million for the overall domestic campaign. "Every time I turn my TV on, I think I’m watching the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, there’s so much green slime going on," a rival studio exec snarked to me.

Green Lantern ~100m on marketing. There is absolutely no way XMFC had near that amount lol....

XMFC had like 1/10th the advertising of it.

"$35M is the average marketing cost "

I just came back from seeing GL, and all I gotta say is... IT WAS AMAZING.

I honestly have no idea what the reviews (and some of you) are talking about... I loved every thing about it. The fights were awesome, Oa looked fantastic, Hector was creepy as hell, Ryan was wonderful, the CGI was great, the pacing was near-perfect and the jokes were spot on! Sure it wasn't 100% faithful to the comics, but what movie is? GL was very fun and exciting.

I went in expected to be disappointed, but I came out with a huge smile on my face. I can't wait to go see it again!

He was being a *****e for *****e sake. It's not shocking though as more and more fratboy directors and comicbook writers have started to do it.

People bashed Brett Ratner but I thought that Matthew Vaughn was way more in the wrong when he attacked X3. That dude who attacked Jones acting in X-Men: First Class was also being a complete dick.

People these days have no freakin class.

Glad to hear you liked it. Just so we can get some perspective, how do you rank this movie against the superhero movies of the past two or three years?

And Matthew Vaughn was a dick during all of interviews about First Class about saying he doesn't give a sh!it about continuity. Then he said he hated the costumes of the X-Men trilogy, but said he love Singer's two films...which is pretty confusing seeing as how the leather costumes were in all three films. Vaughn just became a kiss ass, a dick and a *****e all during the post-production of First Class.

I couldn't agree more.

Do you work for or are paid by WB:awesome: kidding . Its nice to see some liking it.

As far as Jessica , I have had a thing for her since Dark Angek , Just gorgeous as is Portman .

My view of Vaughn dropped dramatically when I heard his interviews during the XMFC promotion. Talk about judgmental.
