Dear DC ,
Please hire real actresses if you want to also attract a female audiences . Films being dragged by CW talent to save money only hurts the quality in the long run

would have been cooler if it looked more like light than a weird glob of green on his face at times. it was too organic. the suit was cool, but something about the mask just turned me off lol maybe if they went with the closer to black mask it would have been different

I thought it looked cool I never noticed it looking weird at all

Yeah, IM2 next to IM1 is indeed weaker but still pretty solid. And IM2 next to GL is like a masterpiece.

yeah, it's slightly weaker than IM1 but it's pretty darn close to being as good.

Godman said:
Though IM2 is far better than GL, it still shouldnt be considered great AT ALL, but merely entertaining yet a mess in its own right. dancing scene in ironman suit was nonsense

I thought it was great and surely one of the best in the genre. I don't think it gets the love it deserves on here.

The drunk dancing scene was funny to me. It was supposed to be cringeworthy. Tony Stark isn't supposed to be super serious Batman character. Alot of people have issue with comedy in these movies, but I love it. Everything about IM2 was funny. Alot of it was subtle too.

She was hella lot better than Kate Bosworth who wasnt a CW actress (which Blake is the only CW actress ATM to be in a super hero film anyway...) And a lot more enjoyable than January Jones.

How was the drunk dancing scene in IM2 nonsense? It wasn't meant to be funny, or entertaining, it was meant to be sad. It was meant to be pitiful, to show how low Stark has dropped to.

I thought it was also hilarious.

You people are too picky. This movie rocked, and it was a blast in the theater. And really, if you were to look at all the superhero movies made in the 2000s alone (just for simplicity's sake), Green Lantern is probably one of the best superhero movies ever made.

Here's a list of everything that's come out in the 2000's:
Movies I have in green are the ones I think were fantastic.
Movies I have in red are the ones I think were just okay.
Movies I have in blue are the ones I think are flat out crap.

X-Men
X2: X-Men United
X-Men: First Class
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
Hellboy
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Unbreakable
Thor
Watchmen

Superman Returns
Iron Man 2
The Punisher
Hulk
The Incredible Hulk
Blade II
Hancock
Kick-Ass
The Green Hornet

X-Men: The Last Stand
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Spider-Man 3
Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Punisher: War Zone
Blade: Trinity
Daredevil
Elektra
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Catwoman
Ghost Rider
Jonah Hex
The Spirit

Now, I ask you. Does Green Lantern really deserve to be in the Blue group? Absolutely NOT.

While most people would probably agree that it ranks in the red group of being "just okay" like Iron Man 2 and Superman Returns, I argue that it belongs among the green group. But that's just me.

Green Lantern is CERTAINLY better than MOST of what Marvel has to offer.

If IM1 was luck, then Warner ought to be talking to them about what lucky charms and fetishes marvel uses to write a great script.

Because if this script took long and careful time to turn into the POS it ended up being, that's pathetic.

Sheez I wouldn't even be talking about Iron Man in comparison to this film. You should start out with Fantastic Four, because I'm not even sure this movie was as good as that was. As crappy and dirivitive as FF was, it was at least coherant and held my attention.

For example we learn in the first freaking scene in the movie that Doom, Sue, and Reed know each other from way back. Yet in this movie we are shown scenes with Hammond hanging around looking extra creepy, and then half way thorugh the freaking movie there's a party scene and Hal just goes "hey Hector how ya doing?"

And that's a total insult because Martin Camble could eat Tim Story for breakfast. This is the cinematic equivalent of Chico state University beating USC! i.e. it should never have happened.

Yah....because only using one girl from CW is totally ruining DC's image :o

Large scale means spending lots of money.
Apparently,WB vetoed that idea.

You can't tell me they couldn't have done more with 200 million dollars. I just don't buy it. Like I've already said, Avatar was 240, and the majority of it was CG (and incomparably better CG) and it had a 40 minute battle scene! District 9 cost a measly 30 million and look at all the crazy set pieces it pulled off. 200 million is a **** load of money. Sony Imageworks must be the most inefficient effects house on the planet. Instead of blowing money just so you can waste Tim Robbins, put it where it actually counts, and then go to Weta Digital to actually get your money's worth.

Now, I ask you. Does Green Lantern really deserve to be in the Blue group?

You're damn right it does. While it may not be as cheesy as some of those, as far as telling a coherant story it's worse than most of those.

i have never picked up a comic book to actually laugh. smurk at atimes but never laugh. i pick them up cause they actually tackle deeper concepts than most other fantasy genres.

Green Lantern is CERTAINLY better than MOST of what Marvel has to offer.

Where is the first Blade on this list?

And to your last comment? Well, that would probably happen, considering Marvel has made many more movies than DC.

But no, I disagree with you, Green Lantern is a steaming pile that deserves all the hate it's getting.

Green.

Marvel Studios or Marvel characters? I'm sorry but I don't think you guys need to make these kinds of reaches to defend Green Lantern.

I also don't think Wolverine, Fantastic Four, X-3, and Spider Man 3 were THAT bad. They weren't good but you can't put them in the same category as Catwoman, Elecktra, The Spirit, Jonah Hex, etc. FF was actually pretty enjoyable.

But IM2 wasn't a comic book, it was a movie. And that movie did tackle deeper concepts than probally any other superhero movie to date. You look at a movie like TDK which everybody talks about as some deep movie, but it's actually pretty simple. Good guy vs. Bad guy. IM2 had deeper themes in my opinion with legacy, the military industrial complex, taking on challenges by yourself, etc.
