What doesn't help is that 'let me fight for my world' line made zero sense: He had gone to OA to ask for their help to save Earth, they refused, and were not stopping him going back any more than when they did nothing when he 'quit' his training. Maybe there was something more to his being back on OA that got cut (like they summoned him again or something), but as presented he was able to come and go as he pleased.



) will overcome them. Jordan is alone there, no backup, and cornered by Parallax with nowhere to go - but saying the oath is enough to give him this confidence boost from inside. It was watching that scene when I really got a good sense of who Hal Jordan is, and how strong his willpower is - and thus how strong he is, as a Green Lantern. Reynolds' delivery was perfect.
