If I wanted to sell my comics, how would I go about doing that?

If you have an Ebay account, you could always go with Ebay.

Have you done it before? I do have an account, but haven't done anything with it.

So. . . this is where you're hiding.

What I'd do is this: sell them to some little kid who is new to the comics business and milk your comics for all they're worth. Or, you can go to a comic shop, but you better know how to haggle with the geek at the desk. And you can always try ebay.

I wanna try the ebay thing, but I have no idea where to start.

Just take some pictures of the things you want to sell, put them up for auction -- badda bing-badda boom, done and done.

But I'd have to know about what type of payments, Starting rates, S&H, I need to know it all.

Just ship within America, make the buyer pay through paypal (if you have an account), check, or money order; check how much it costs to ship what you want to sell, make them pay for shipping; and so on.

There seems to be a problem now. You have to have a credit or debit card to sell?

I think it also depends on what you have.You should decide if you're better off selling what you have,or if you can hand them over to your store for some cash or store credit.

Alot of things just sit on eBay.If you have full runs of books which people will want to buy,then by all means.

I recently put up full runs on UF4,USM,UXM,Sentry,JSA and Black Panther up and I got a pretty decent amount for it.

I don't have full runs on stuff, and I just wanted to test run it, like IDK anymore.

I have all types of crap that I wanna get rid of. Mosly my recent stuff. A few batgirls here, few Runaways there, I'm sure I have SOMETHING people want... I hope.

Just out of curiousity...is it possible to donate comics to a charity and then claim their mint value on your taxes???

It's not popular here,but on alot of other boards,there are alot of TRADE threads setup where posters simply do just that.

If I were you,I would just give up my recent stuff to my local shop for some store credit.I did that a while back when I had a whole mess of stuff.

yeah, it's REALLY hard to get rid off stuff that's only a couple years old, unless it's highly desirable and relatively rare. Did you buy Mouseguard? Were you reading Manhunter?

another book you don't have, appearently

it was this independent title that started last year, they're up to issue #5 of a 6 issue mini. Basically, it's a fantasy story about knights and warriors, but the characters are mice. The artwork is god damn beautiful, and the book had a HUGE buzz, and not nearly enough copies of the first issue were printed of the first issue, so it's a $50 book right now
