The Official Infamous Thread!!!

Well I just picked myself up a PS3 and it looks as if I'll be getting this game. Looks badass.

Congrats on getting a PS3! Best move you could have made. Infamous will definitely be worth it.

I'm thinking of pre-ordering it now. If I'll get the gigwatt blades, the Uncharted 2 demo and an early demo of inFamous...seems worth it instead of waiting for the release date.
I preordered for the blades. I like to get the complete package and this will most likely be a DLC download later so why not get it now for free. I also want to get the game as early as possible, so that helps too

Do you get the early demo from Gamestop too?

I think I'll go ahead and pre-order there either way. Is the Uncharted 2 MP beta a given for all versions or just some lucky 500 or something?

nah the early demo is with Best Buy or Game Crazy. I preorderd it at GS for the blades and at BB for the demo. Im just gonna cancel the BB one

All first shipments of Infamous will get the Uncharted beta. It will be within the case. If for any reason you buy one without a code, Im sure you can call or email Sony and fax/email proof of purchase and they will give you a code

oh okay. So pre-orders should have the voucher code for Uncharted 2. Thanks for the info.

I just found out that Amon Tobin is behind the music for inFamous.

Which I'm happy to hear.

I loved his soundtrack for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Look like a good trophy list. I wish there were more golds but otherwise it reminds me of Fallout 3's trophy list

So, I pre-ordered the game at Gamestop.

They even gave me the voucher for the Gigawat Blades with the pre-order. Can't wait for the demo to give it a try.

you got the voucher already? My GS didnt have any

Dont suppose anyone here has an infamous demo code? i know its out thursday but im really impatient lol

Yeah, they had a huge stack of 'em when I went and pre-ordered the game on Saturday.

Strange too, because on the voucher it says it'll become active on June 2nd...but then it says it's subject to change.

I'm assuming it's because inFAMOUS got it's released pushed foward. Which, I didn't even know was possible. I thought games could only get delayed...not...un-layed? I don't even know what the term is.

Pushed up...The same thing happened with other Sony published games. Uncharted and Ratchet both got their release dates pushed up when they came out

yeah its probably because off the pre-lay? :csad: lol did u pick up an extra one by any slim chance? lol

It doesn't matter that much, the demo is suppose to go up for non-preorders in just three days

i know, but as i said impatient lol i wont get to play it untill sunday anyway so its practically another week for me...stupid night bar job..

Ugh why did this have to come the day after Memorial day? I get out of work early this Friday and wont go back till Tuesday. Would have been a perfect weekend to play Infamous

Well, here's something you don't see everyday:

Sucker Punch is pulling all the jabs to promote inFamous before its launch on May 26. Not only will you get to see a 30-second commercial before Terminator Salvation in theaters nationwide this weekend, but you'll also have a chance to get your questions answered during a live chat with Sucker Punch this Wednesday.

Sony marketing manager Asad Qizilbash posted information about both events, and a 4-part comic created by Sucker Punch, on the PlayStation Blog.

First, everyone planning on going to the theaters this weekend to see the new Terminator movie will see a special inFamous commercial. The promotion will run from May 22 to May 28. There is no word at this time if the spot will feature new footage, but we assume Sucker Punch put something special together for the theaters.

Sucker Punch also created a 4-part comic that chronicles the days following the blast that changed protagonist Cole's life forever. The first installment is available on the PlayStation Blog, while IGN will have the final parts when they become available.

Finally, get your inFamous questions ready, as Sucker Punch will offer a live chat Wednesday afternoon with the folks at the PlayStation Blog. Check back with us Wednesday morning for more details.

Don't forget that you can try out the official demo when it goes live on the PlayStation Network this Thursday.

Interesting to see a Video Game ad before a movie. I know it's been done before, but it's still pretty rare.

Sony made a big push in UK cinemas with MotorStorm 2 and Resistance 2. I saw Dead Space in there as well. I like that video game ads are becoming more mainstream.

Hm, that's pretty interesting, here in the States I haven't seen a game ad on the big screen for a long time.
