The Official Infamous Thread!!!

Wow, that was a good demo. Great length and great show of how to play the game. Definitely brought my excitement for it up a notch

I like the Infamous side challenge with the water towers. This is going to be a great game. It's on my list.

Spamming with the grenades is a little easy though.

Yeah, I remember in the quest with defending the medical crate. I just hacked shock grenades at the waves of enemies. The trucks, however, that did not work with

It's so easy to die on this game. It's pretty good fun though.

Does the GT review show anything spoilerific? They usually do. I'm glad I didn't watch the Killzone 2 review before, it gave away 3 key plot points.

Not all that much. A few scenes of the beginning and how he got his powers. Some showcasing of his more interesting moves and a look at a few bosses.

Meh, I'll leave it. Only a week till the game is amoung us. Thanks for the head up though dude.

Yeah, it is harder then I expected really. It's not hard, but I did end up dying because I underestimated these Reaper junkie gang-bangers...whatever

I played the Demo i didn't really like it that much his jump was weird i thought it would have been cool if he would have been able to float higher with his levitation thing and would be able to run faster

though i do love the climbing it is really fun. I will probably check this game out when it is way cheaper i don't think that the game is worth 60 bucks but i will definitely get it. Its on my to do list.

Amazon.com has it for $53:cwink:

I loved the demo.

Needed a little getting used to. For some reason, I was thinking like Spider-Man. So his jumping felt too short at first. But, I got used to it and scaling up stuff got comfy.

I was going to say the same thing about the grenades, that it's easy. But it does drain the electrical power fast as hell though. I kicked up the difficulty to Normal, so dunno if that had anything to do with it.

And, it seems too easy to be the anti-hero. Way more difficult to be the hero, because you really need to hold back. It's funny, accidentally kicking an innocent civilian because I'm trying to hit a reaper.

I do love the sense of life in the city. Seeing hobos digging through trash, drunks passed out on the sidewalk, civilians stopping to take pictures of me with they're cameras or camera phones.

And the cutscenes are great. The graphic novel feel works perfectly.

So Cole only manipulates electricity not create it, right? Is it true if he falls into water, he dies? That's strange, I mean Pyro from Marvel (as far as I know) doesn't die if he falls into water 'coz like Cole, he only manipulates (fire) not create.

Hah, really. I didn't see any places with a pool or foundation or anything. To do that never crossed my mind at all

It didn't to me either until I saw a harbor at the end of a street near a building.

No big deal really, I'll just avoid the water.

There's a spinning monument in the city off from the railway in the first mission which I thought i'd climb, not realising there was a pool at it's base which sent his electricity haywire. He really doesn't like water lol.

The main difficulty I found was that I couldn't distinguish enemies from a distance too well, of which the rader doesn't help too much. So i'd be walking along being shot at and not being able to see where the bloody hell they were to kill them. It's especially easy to die then when one starts shooting missiles at you which can kill you pretty quick. Other than that it's a solid game. The free running element mixes surprisingly well with the rest of the gameplay. And I agree that taking the evil route is a lot easier to do than staying good. I just hope that after a while, staying good doesn't become too restricting to your game.
