Iron Man The Official Iron Man FAQ

Hopefully if (and when :D) the Iron Man movie does well Marvel will give him first crack at a new Daredevil film since he had that part as Foggy in the first. I would think with his minor attachment to the first DD movie Marvel would suggest he take on the next DD movie and take a similar route like he is for Iron Man.

Favreau did joke around that Foggy could get his own feature film. And someone also gave him the idea that, if Stark were to get in trouble, and had to go to court, he would probably hire Foggy to help him out.

i hope Terrence Howard accepts the offer he's a excellent actor

For Rhodes, if he was cast, I'm sure he'd do a lot of justice to the character. Howard really is a great actor. There are a lot of actors out there who could be well suited for this role. But out of all of then listed, Howard might just be my current favorite. Not to mention, if the role of Jim Rhodes expands in a sequel, with him eventually donning the War Machine armor, I see him playing out that part of the character well.

For me Derek Luke is still my favorite choice but I'd put Howard up there at #2 after him.

I hope we hear more about Howard's involvement. Particularly if he is or isn't interested in the role. This isn't the first time he's attached to a Marvel character. He was rumored before for the role of Diamondback for the Luke Cage film.

Finally we're back after a 4 day hiatus.:)

Hey, hey! :D

Has there been any updates from Jon yet?

No. Jon's been rather silent the past few weeks. Although he does seem to be doing his "research" for the film. Check his latest photograph of himself, on the group page.

First page updated with Howard's words on being rumored for the role of Rhodes.

I want Ed Quinn for Iron Man!! :)
Ironic you should mention him for the role. His character in Eureka, is Nathan Stark. He's really confident in the series. His character you could say, practically IS Tony Stark. He's smart to his own degree, clever, and can even play the "suave" type easily. Quinn would make a great candidate.

I agree with you Batman. And yeah, it is ironic. :D

By the way, the briefcase the holds IM's armor, what exactly does it "do"?

The briefcase for one, has plenty of devices installed in it. Mainly for safety reasons, incase it ends up in the wrong hands with the armor inside. Stark has the option of having it only access his own fingerprint, or if he wants to for whatever reason, can program it for the prints of others. The case can tell when the fingerprints don't match. Which, after it's set, releases a gas that knocks out whoever it trying to open it. But if it's also attempted to be opened with any kind of force, it'll self destruct along with the armor inside of it.

This is gonna be a great movie and is probably the most underrated character of any comic book. They need to cast well with Iron Man and not just his supporting cast. Boxoffice results will be depended on for a sequel and we all saw how much trouble Superman Returns had, which I think is bc little named Brandon Routh who wasn't bad. Therefore, Iron Man must be a somebody and not a fat chance actor to save money and try to create a great actor. It doesn't always work, it really on has worked in the Star Wars movies. Cast well and you shall sell tickets, unless its DareDevil. JK!

I think Terrence Howard sounds like great casting! I love him in every movie he's been in. The real question though, is who would play Tony Stark himself...ideally I'd have picked a slightly younger George Clooney or Clive Owen for the role, (yes Clive's English I know but they can always hire him a voice coach-worked just fine for Cillian Murphy and Emma Thompson!) but now I'm trying to think of other actors who could pull it off.

Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark. First page updated with the announcement and Favreau's words regarding confirmation on the casting.

First page updated with the Famke Janssen rumor. Keyword: rumor. Nothing has been confirmed about her involvement as of yet. Or Bethany Cabe being the one she will portray.
