but the grey temples is such a old pre-Geoff Johns idea (re: dated) that I would say nay to that. I know the script uses Legion and Emerald Dawn as its basis, but unless they do Paralax, don't do it.

ya i dont think they will end up using paralax stuff. maybe allured to the character out their so if in a sequel they want to use the character they dont have to have it come out of the blue. As for what is different in the script now hopefully the fixed the problems with hector and legion switched fights around and made both better threats.

- More Legion (make him the primary villain)
- More of Hal's Family
- Less Hector Hammond (make him the secondary villain)
- Less Thomas Kalmaku (He's not that interesting of a supporting character. I'd cut way back on the number of lines he has.)


I'd have Hal take care of Hector early on, and have the finale be about the corps vs. Legion.

They need to find a way to tie in Hector to Legion a little bit more. Or have Legion somehow come to earth; maybe Hector can be a beacon since he has a piece of Legion in him, thus forcing the Corps to come to Earth to defeat the two.

Well..I mean, you can't have them fight Legion THEN fight Hector. The Corps could destroy Hector in a matter of seconds

I'm sure they'll clean up the third act. It's kinda hard because the Corps is so big and yet, you want to include them in the final battle. But the final battles has to be big and relevant. If it was irrelevant, then Hal would fight alone.

"Legion was in your space sector. If any piece of him was left behind, it'll ravage your world like a cancer."

Hector was a big threat. But not as big as Legion. That's why the order of the fights seem off.

How about this: Only a group of Green Lanterns (Hal Jordan, Sinestro, Kilowog, Tomar-Re and (hopefully) Salaak) goes back Earth and fights Hector after defeating Legion. The odds get higher this way.

I understand that, but I think they need to stress that out a bit. And cinematic wise, if it's Legion first than Hector, then it might be underwhelming for the general audience.

I hope I'm remembering this right but he was summoned by Abin Sur when he was in his car? Well I prefer the flight simulator instead.

yeah, the car was so so but I can see why they used it.

The Flight Simulator happened when Carol and the crew was around, so they would have to explain that. The car happened at night with Hal by himself, so it was easier to write for, I suppose.

Yeah that's true. It'd also require a big rewrite for that whole scene. But that's just a minor nitpick for me.

I liked the car. It made it more secretive for Hal. And it was a time he was put down so going from that to the desert was a nice fit.

136 pages? Sounds better. In these type of films they shouldn't be over two and a half hours. You gotta feel the energy of the pacing. Like SW. Fast but you can absorb everything and it's memorable.

well for hero films i do like it they are 2hrs minium, and about 2hr 20/25mins max. That is a good amount of time to develop the characters get us to see their world and all that I dont want to see X3/ff2 of 90mins that is so not enough time.
