Well now.…No X-Men movie ever reached 250 million domestic. Marvels most popular team was never able to make as much as Iron Man or Guardians of the Galaxy. There is a specific reason for that, and it was FOXs refusal to tap into their true potential.
Days of Future Past actually came pretty close and now adjust it for inflation. In fact, several of the movies past that number when adjusted for inflation.Bingo.
The X-Men franchise at Fox could have easily been the first 1billon dollar cbmovie. But Fox and producers had no idea what they really had on their hands.
never knew it honestly.
True, but we're not grading on a curve. LOL!Days of Future Past actually came pretty close and now adjust it for inflation. In fact, several of the movies past that number when adjusted for inflation.

Truly can't wait to see Mystique and Nightcrawler.
Kinberg wrote X3. Lol.Uh, Kinberg did not direct X3 and X3’s Phoenix was not more faithful comics - even Chris Claremont will tell you that. lol
Also, Deadpool & Wolverine made over a billions at the Box Office. That wouldn’t have happened if the Fox-Men were ruined. Let’s be real.
Excited to see the rest in X-Men 90s inspired look.I just hope we get to see this:

Nightcrawler, Magneto, and Mystique is just icing on the cake.
Sure. But my point is that Kevin Feige brought the original cast back partly because they would bring in money. They are worth a billion dollars now due to inflation, as shown by Deadpool & Wolverine.True, but we're not grading on a curve. LOL!
So did Matthew Vaughn. LolKinberg wrote X3. Lol.
Kinberg both wrote X3 and Dark Phoenix. The fact he was deeply involved with X3 (and the franchise in the 2010s), there should have been some improvement when handling Dark Phoenix for the second time, there's simply no excuse. Dark Phoenix was much worse, and the lowest point for the franchise. 23% in Rotten Tomatoes.Sure. Brett Ratner admitted that he didn’t have enough time to film much of the script due to the rushed production. That is one of the reasons why Vaughn dropped out as director - Fox didn’t give them the time to make the movie he co-wrote.
The movie is going to be a mash up of Avengers, F4 and X-Men, the big superhero teams of Marvel. Thunderbolts' inclusion though is quite random. I'd rather have Guardians instead of them.An Avengers vs. X-Men incursion film that’s a prelude to Secret Wars sounds awesome; I just hope Feige & the Russos can deliver.
Are you saying that the Phoenix story was a subplot in Dark Phoenix like it was in X3 and that it was ableist towards mentally ill people like in X3? LolKinberg both wrote X3 and Dark Phoenix. Brett Ratner and Matthew Vaughn didn't have a say in Dark Phoenix 2019 as well, so idk you are dragging those two, as they didn't last very long in the X-Men franchise, unlike Kinberg.
I would like to think they are spreading them out.I’m hoping subsequent cast announcements will confirm Jackman, Berry, Janssen, and Paquin returning too. Heck, I’ll take Omay Sy too for the full TAS lineup (plus Nightrawler).
Okay, I don't know where you are going with this. Are you saying that Phoenix story was a subplot in Dark Phoenix like it was in X3 and that it was ableist towards mentally ill people like X3? Lol
My point is that the issue with the Phoenix story in X3 was that the saga was reduced into a subplot and its depiction of Jean’s mental health was ableist. That wasn’t the issue with Dark Phoenix, in fact, its depiction of Jean as a mentally ill person was a vast improvement.Okay, I don't know where you are going with this.
The point is Kinberg was involved in the script of X3 and Dark Phoenix. Like Brett Ratner, they should have never brought him back to any of these X-Men films in any capacity, after X3.
Sounds like you are a making an excuse for him, when his filmography as a writer just plain sucks.
Again, he was involved with both films. No matter how you slice it. He's the common denominator. I wasn't talking about the specific problems of X3 for you to bring those up.My point is that the issue with the Phoenix story in X3 was that the saga was reduced into a subplot and its depiction of Jean’s mental health was ableist. I don’t see how that even remotely fits the definition of “excuse”. *rolls eyes*
Yeah, but you’re acting like he directed X3 - when in reality he was just a co-writer on the film like Matthew Vaughn was. I’ve never anybody say that X3 was Matthew Vaughn’s movie.
