X-Men The Official MCU X-Men News and Discussion Thread

The Boys shows have budgets around $11-12 million an episode, Which is significantly cheaper than the MCU shows.
The Boys isn't comparable especially it doesn't belong to a franchise that is releasing 1 to 3 movies per year, alongside countless live action shows, animated shows and special presentations.

The people behind The Boys aren't mapping out tv spin offs while also doing blockbuster movies with a budget more or less 200 million every year.

A new X-Men movie, every 2 to 3 years is the way to go imo.

TV shows just have too many limitations even though the runtime is longer. Aside from the visual effects, we aren't gonna see the intricate stunts. Hawkeye the show tried to do a huge set piece, and the whole scene looked like the visual effects were half finished and they couldn't film the scene in actual road.

Story wise, they are going to save the bigger characters and storylines, for the movies. Marvel Studios already said the "movie characters" won't jump to tv shows anymore after Vision Quest. The Punisher is appearing in Brand New Day but it is a tv character first and foremost, who debuted in the Netflix era.

Sucks that Marvel seems to be taking the position that the shows dont matter enough to have any top tier characters in them. :(

I think they overestimated their streaming platform and just went crazy by ordering so many shows that it affected the overall quality of the MCU, and affected the public interest to the brand. I don't think there's that much of an interest for Wonder Man outside of the dedicated fan base. I watch every Mcu show and I don't feel any excitement for that. Its just something to tick off my list.

Ideally, we get these blockbuster movies and there's 1 event TV series that as appealing/good as their best movies that we could watch at home, while the next movie is still months away.

The new X-Men cast cannot really get a clean slate if there are still several people from the Fox era staying.
Why not? DC studios has The Batman series, which will be separate from the DCU Batman series.
Let’s get one good MCU X-Men movie before we start asking for a bunch of spinoffs. More is not always better.
And hope it does well enough at the Box Office to warrant a bunch of spinoffs.

DC is a mess. I don't know why you would want Marvel Studios to emulate what they are doing with their movies.

Also FoX-Men have been around since 1999, or earlier than that when they were cast. Its not similar to The Batman series (which is taking forever to get a sequel out), in which DCEU was still going on before they decided to reboot the rest, minus characters from James Gunn's SS movie...

The DCU is actually off to a good start with Superman.

You want a franchise with over 30 films to emulate DC Studios who has ONLY 1 film and is letting another Dc movie series (with also only 1 film) have nothing to do with them.

That doesn't make sense to me, especially none of those 2 films (The Batman and Superman) have eclipsed what MCU has done. Also who the heck know how long WB would keep up with this Elseworld non-sense alongside "DCU" until its time to hit the restart button again, especially when their company seem to be always up for sale.
