The MCU is 3 for 3 with how the characters look. I cannot wait for Deadpool 3.

I don't care how accurate it is. Replacing great make up and prosthetics for CGI is a bad call. But typical with Disney's philosophy.

I got a little nostalgic after watching The Marvels and rewatched X3, and while Grammar is the best part of that film, they still have him in politics for some reason. He's always in a suit that makes his head look disproportionate.

That character was made to be in a white coat :nervous:

I'd agree if we ever had great makeup or prosthetics.

It's no different than Thanos, Groot, or Rocket. Sometimes it is the best option for a character who isn't normal-sized.

Post Deadpool, I wouldn't be surprised if the others, who aren't reported to appear in Deadpool will appear in another film for a cameo.

I guess Iceman or Rogue in 4 and Jubilee in Blade, if they make Jubilee a vampire.

The X-Men will eventually Assemble in Secret Wars.

I'm gonna disagree with that. Nothing beyond Deadpool 3. As eager as everyone has been since the Fox acquisition about finally getting fresh faces and a new start for the X-Men, all of a sudden it's 'Can the Fox actors actually stick around for more? Like, pick one. Do people want a fresh start with the X-Men in the MCU, or want to just stay stuck in the past? Wasn't part of the reason folks were so excited for the acquisition was because they'd grown tired of the Fox cast and those movies and wanted something new? I don't hear anyone clamoring for Jessica Alba or Michael Chiklis to be the MCU's Sue Storm or Ben Grimm.

1. The biggest source of discontent with Fox's movies before the buyout was that they abandoned the original cast and never gave anough focus to most of them. People loved seeing them again in DoFP.

2. The MCU's X-men doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon anyway, not until after the multiverse saga. Might as well get something while we wait.

3. We never got to see the original Fox cast with the classic 90s designs. It's fun to see the OG Fox cast all with outfits closer to the classic 90s designs. Kind of makes one realize just how dumb Fox was not to make a movie with the OG cast after DoFP with classic-90s-inspired costumes, would've been huge.

Setting X-Men Apocalypse in the previous decade (80s) was such a blunder featuring almost a new cast. It was obvious between the two cast who was more marketable, and story wise, the X-Men didn't need to be stuck in the past.

That seems to be the direction they’re going. I wonder if we’ll ever see the leather clad versions again? Maybe the film acknowledges they’re all dead, thanks to the events of Logan, and Deadpool hops to the X-Men ‘97 universe?

Its likely a whole different universe than Fox original trilogy or 838 from Multiverse of Madness (tho that movie had classic TAS Proffesor X), but who says other universes dont have the iconic 90s suits too? (likely all of them have them....... except the Fox universe )

My hope is that it's the reset future of DOFP that Logan woke up in, hence Ottman's X-Men theme being played... Would be cool to have it have some connection to a previously-established universe with those actors. Disney can then ignore Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix and confirm in Deadpool 3 that Logan is a separate multiverse. The Logan of the reset DOFP is alive and well, and wearing a yellow costume at a thriving X-Mansion with at least Beast, Storm, Cyclops, Jean, Rogue, and (now) Binary. Could even use Binary's presence to explain why Rogue now has super strength...

But somehow keep McAvoy as Xavier for the eventual MCU reboot. He's only getting better for the role as time passes...

Let's hope not. Wishful thinking that should not happen. Let the past stay in the past and bring the actual MCU X-Men. I know some people can't move on from the Fox X-Men, but getting caught in nostalgia will just lengthen the amount of time it takes to get Marvel Studios' take on the characters.

Also, at this rate, it wouldn't take much to out-gross The Marvels given how dreadful it's doing!

I’m just so happy with that credit scene. Definitely the Beast I grew up loving. Would love to see him get time in Deadpool 3 or Secret Wars, or both. The MCU Beast could have a high target to beat.

In the theaters, I was like "oh that looks a bit video game-y wish they stuck with practical"
But then I saw the New Rockstars breakdown and they had X3 and DOFP Beast next to the new version, and changed my mind completely
If they can use the new design and give it the Hulk and Thanos level of CGI quality, it would look perfect

Here's the thing: if Secret Wars ends like the comics, we will be introduced to a new reality blending several universes. I think introducing the X-Men and the Fantastic Four as heroes from other realities means they most likely ARE the MCU versions.
