I would like Marvel Studios' X-Men to be the first movie of phase7en. But I don't see Marvel Studios releasing the reboot, just 1 year after Secret Wars.

MCU needs a breather after Secret Wars, especially if turns out to be the biggest mcu to date (in terms of the roster). The X-Men are pretty much their last big ip to get a feature film. So I don't think it would be in their best interest to put it out there, just 1 year after Secret Wars.

It can't be the worse than the Kinberg Saga in the previous decade, which Star Wars is supposed to get in the future.

Anyway they have a writer now and I’m sure they’ve got a short list for directors so after that it’s just casting and they’re good to start. I’m excited.

They are only redoing it because their previous head writer was fired for sexual misconduct and wouldn't shut his mouth up after the fact, so they want his name off of it.

Doesn't change the fact that season one was a Disney Plus original and was signed off on by Disney, and it is perhaps the most adult X-Men cartoon we have ever gotten. If Disney had a problem with X-Men and its "message", why didn't they sanitize it and remove any traces of it before the first season of X-Men 97 made it to stream?

An animated show on D+ is not as important to the higher ups as something on the big screen. Also, Iger has been changing their tune on certain things ever since Ikes and his buddies attempted takeover of the board of directors. And we are getting more and more reports of the internal clamping down on progressive and inclusive storytelling. And its clear things are only going to get worse.

I don't see how anyone who likes the X-men for being the X-men has any reason to be confident.

I'm willing to wager that they'll cherrypick actors/characters from the Foxverse for one last multiversal go-round.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Halle again for a one-off.

Storm, Cyclops and Beast are 100% guaranteed. The rest are all up in the air, imo.

I doubt it couldn't be any less X-Men than what we got in the previous X-Men films.

I definitely think we see Halle in Secret Wars. My hope is we see them all, by the realistic most we’ll get IMO is Wolverine (and Deadpool obviously), X-23, Storm, Beast (CGI), Gambit, Rogue.

And Binary (Maria Rambeau), with her universe-displaced daughter Photon.

Then universes collapse and we spend the next phase of MCU exploring their adaptation of mutants

There has to be some female representation from FoX-Men. And the biggest possibilities for that are Famke Jannsen and Halle Berry. Halle Berry is an Oscar Winner that is still booking film roles to this day and still getting endorsement deals. I would be surprised if they leave her out in Secret Wars.

I’m down to see Halle come back, especially considering how she got tricked into doing TLS. Would be nice to see her get a fair shake with the role.

would rather get Famke's Jean, but unfortunately she looks...odd... now after too much plastic surgery
