Who knows? While it would be nice to see her, there are enough reasons not to include her. Her casting would be even more controversial today than it was 20 years ago.

Also, Marvel Studios has already showcased Storm with dark skin in 97 and What If…? Why would they regress?

I do believe that Storm will be in this movie, Berry or otherwise.
Her casting wouldnt be controversial. She isnt playing a brand new Storm. She isnt playing an ongoing Storm. She's playing her Storm with her cast.

You forget Elektra.....

It sure as hell wouldn't be progressive.

You gotta think, if they bring Halle back as Storm, after all this time with the recent course correcting for the character due to the combined efforts made by Murewa Ayodele's solo and how she's depicted in '97 and What If?, it's going to bring back that idea that a lightskinned or biracial actress could play MCU Storm.

And that's the wrong message.

It has zero to do with trying to be progressive and doesnt send the wrong message at all. You're dealing with a pair of films that deal with the multiverse. You are bringing back previous cast members from her film. Leaving out the only woman of color in said film - is not a good look. Wrapping up the Fox-verse and then casting an appropriate actress is what shows being progressive and sending the right message. Trying to ignore her is not the way to go. Esp after all Halle has gone through with that role.

Alright.

When Avengers makes 3 billion dollars (because, tariffs) and if by some slim chance Halle returns to the role in the movie, don't none of you cry and complain about Zendaya putting on a white wig to play MCU Ororo. Remember that you all wanted Halle to return.

We didn't learn our mistakes from Deadpool & Wolverine, and now we're stuck with Channing Tatum making Gambit a joke. :o

Lol that isnt even the same but....nice attempt. Last time I looked - bringing back OG actors to reprise their characters in a multiverse film has zero impact or influence on a flat out reboot.

I guess we're stuck with a naked Mystique for MCU version. We're stuck with none-greek Elektra. We're stuck with a Light skinned Sunspot for a potential MCU version. We're stuck with the X-Men being in their 50s.

I can't at rallying about not wanting back Halle Berry as Storm.

Hello, they already brought back 9 from the OT cast + the Deadpool cast, Jennifer Garner and Channing Tatum. Inviting everyone back except Halle Berry IS sending the wrong message @Shinobi Shaw
Apparently bringing back any cast members to reprise their roles in a multiverse film tells us EXACTLY how they'll be casting for the reboot lol

Also, if Halle Berry isn't brought back as Storm, the general public won't view it as Marvel/Disney not seeing Halle Berry as the ideal Storm.

It would look like they simply don't like her thats why she's not in the MCU, while her castmates from the previous 4 X-Men movies she appeared in, James Marsden, Hugh, Ian, Patrick, Kelsey, Alan, Rebecca, Tyler, Ray, Aaron all got a chance to join the MCU, in the same X-Men role they've played in the 2000s....

And there will be more Fox-Men cast members being saved for Secret Wars because that's just how Marvel Studios do things. And they will single out Halle Berry, the poster actress for 4 X-Men movies? That's just simply ridiculous.

Also for those who are forgetting. Queen Halle was supportive enough of the Fox franchise, that she attended the movie premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Years after they tricked her to signed up for X3.

She was also willing to play Storm once again despite being in the middle of a pregnancy during the filming of Days of Future Past. She deserves to appear in the Mcu just like her fellow Fox-Men actors.

I just remembered that the writer for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty said that the movie wouldn’t have the X-Men. He said this back in early 2023. But Marvel is now going all in on the X-Men being in Doomsday after Quantumania and The Marvels flopped, and Deadpool & Wolverine made over 1.3 billion.

Hmm…it is like they realized that audiences don’t care about most of the remaining/new Avengers, and that the OG X-Men are the money makers.

If Jean is in this, do we think they are going to try to make up for previous attempts and have Janssen do something Phoenix related?
I think the time is now.

They'll probably skip Phoenix for the new Jean, so give it to the old one. We're all tired of this, so give it to Famke. It will be only for a brief moment anyway. Then we can rest in peace.

Give us an epic moment and we can get some closure and move on.

Famke Jean Jannsen rising like a Phoenix in Avengers?

Might as well rename the film to Avengers: Phoenix!

I always wanted to see Famke with the big fire bird.... but not sure this is the right idea for Doomsday.
Would feel too powerful for a big marvel ensemble like Doomsday. She could destroy Doom in 3 seconds, right? at least she could. So........ Im not particularly a fan of the idea (as cool as it would look obviously)

Well, good news for you, it ain't making 3 billion. The markets have changed too much.

The interesting thing about Multiverse is Phoenix could obliterate Doom, and then there would another variant of him. Just like howwe are seeing the Professor again, after being killed in Logan and Multiverse of Madness.

Did you not read Secret Wars (2015)?
