From reading the novel he was a cybertronian jet and then later in Egypt we see him transform into the Tank mode.

No, but the book also doesn't mention the insecticons, barricade, or jolt, so...(also doesn't say whether that's blackout in the woods, he's referred to as a chopper bot)

This isn't the first time Megatron's been a triple Changer Transformer . He's been this many times in The Transformers mythology

I'm guess that the movie version is based off of this Megatron

That is written in the novel. Just because it doesn't say the name, I think we're(the readers) are meant to decipher who's who.

Just like with the first novelization. Foster wrote it by looking over the script, in which many of the names were not said, or totally wrong because the right names for most of the Decepticons were named during editing and what not.

That's what I have been saying, people come to the "spoiler" forum to uncover information about the movie.

I keep getting bash by these guys for not using spoiler tags, I mean it make sense if I was in the other forum that was not for spoilers!!!

That's not true, there is the other forum that is mark "non- spoliers." You can go there and chat about the movie, you enter this forum being fully aware that there are spoilers.

The Twins decided to upgrade after being blown by the speed of Sideways. They were too slow and unable to keep up with Sideways, after losing sight of Sideways they transformed and started arguing, which later they upgraded to seperate vehicles.

During the climax battle, Skid and Mudflap help Simmons and company (navy) fight off Devastator. Mudlap got swallow by Devastator but was able to blow his way out of Devastator's right eye. THEY DID NOT DIE!

From reading the novel, the ending gives me the impression that these protoforms are kind of like the ones in Beast Wars where you can reprogram them into either Autobots or Decepticons. I hope they don't go this route.

The novel's release date was May 19th. Dunno about your Borders, but every bookstore should have it. Just yesterday I saw about fifteen copies at WalMart.
