The Official Pull List Discussion thread

She gave an interview a while ago where she seemed to know her stuff. It's weird that she's into comics, but apparently it's true.

Im not doubting that shes into comics, apparently she was a big hit at Heroes Con or soemthing, im just wondering how much writing shes actually doing. Like Donner and Johns, I know Donner aint writing ****, just spouting out ideas.

Oh, I guess she could just be throwing ideas out. Who knows, though? Maybe she's actually writing all the dialogue and the other person is just plotting or something.

I don't know, that book had some problems. The pacing was a bit off in certain places. I could belive it was her, a newbie comic writer, doing most of the writing.

Yeah, the story felt disjointed. Still, the elements introduced in the first issue were good enough that I'm willing to give it some more issues to find its footing.

That's mostly it. Ideas and dialogue, at least on the first issue, to give a more "cinematic" feel to it, someone described. But she's said to be even more involved in the other issues.

Yeah, me too.

Is Cable & Deadpool usually as good as the Civil War tie-in was?

Depends on your sense of humor and whether or not you've read Deadpool's original ongoing before.

I find it slightly overrated. Its your cup of tea if youre into "OMGZ Deadpool is roxxorz!!!!1! moments every issue.

After the Deadpool appreciation thread, I am definetly adding it

Back issues of Kelly and Priest's runs are better for that.

Last issue was great and that tie in is the only CW book I have read.

Kellys run I always wanted to read but its really hard for me to find any.

maybe one day they'll do an Essential Deadpool.

They made one for Tomb of Dracula, why the hell not D to the P?

Essential Darthphere? Man, thats years of good material.

I'd buy every volume just to get that issue where you beat the crap out of both the Hulk and Juggernaut, then laid Aunt May down by the fire and made sweet GILF love to her while Manillow played in the background.

Ah yes, issue 13.

Marvel

Heroes for Hire #1
Civil War
Civil War: Frontline
Amazing Spider-Man
Sensational Spider-Man
Friendly Nieghborhood Spider-Man
The Immortal Iron Fist
The Punisher: War Journal
The Ultimates
Ultimate Spider-Man
Deadpool/Cable

Heroes for Hire comes out i think tomorrow or next week. As Shang-Chi, black Cat, the new Tarantula, Misty Knight, Collen Wing, and Paladin. Looks interesting so i'll def pick it up. P:WJ looks awesome, i like the MAX series so him getting his own Marvel title should be a great read. Always been an Iron Fist fan and i'm happy he has an ongoing. So all three will be added to my pull list.
