The Official Pull List Discussion thread

Carey's X-Men has been pretty good. It's almost as good with character stuff as AXM, and the enemies he's pitted the X-Men against are better than either of the other two X-Men comics' enemies.
When does the next arc in Iron Man start with issue 26 or 27?
27. It looks like it'll build on a lot of what's come before, though.

Ugh, a serialized story in a serialized format, what the ****?

It's the start of the 3rd act of the Mandarin trilogy,so you're better off getting the first 2 parts as well or else you'll be lost.

Daredevil
The Immortal Iron Fist
Iron Man
Nova
X-Factor

I'm uncertain about Iron Man and Nova, but that's probably because I'm a new reader to both. I didn't add Ghost Rider, as I'm waiting to see what this big revelation is later on before I dive in.

I've expanded my list a bit. Currently I get:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Legacy
Star Wars: Dark Times
Star Wars: Rebellion
The Amazing Spider-Man
Daredevil
X-Force
The New Avengers
Avengers: The Initiative
Green Lantern
Green Lantern Corps.
Detective Comics
Batman
Superman/Batman
Simon Dark

I think that's it. Money's tight at the moment or I'd add several more.

My current list of ongoings:

Amazing Spider-Man
Avengers: The Initiative
New Avengers
Mighty Avengers - only keeping this because of Secret Invasion
Captain America
Iron Man
Thor
Immortal Iron Fist
Fantastic Four
Runaways
X-Factor
X-Force
Astonishing X-Men - not sure if this counts
Incredible Hercules
Nova
Thunderbolts
Ultimate Spider-Man

Looking to get into Daredevil and Invincible too.

I've added a few titles, much to the dismay of my wallet:

Amazing Spider-Girl
Avengers: The Initiative
Batman
Detective Comics
The Order
Captain America & Daredevil (once I catch up with Brubaker's trades for both titles)
Immortal Iron Fist, starting with May's issue (probably)

Brave and the Bold
Green Lantern
JSA
All Star Superman

Captain America
Daredevil (I'm hoping 2mrw's issue makes up for this lackluster arc)
Fantastic Four
Hulk
Incredible Hercules
Iron Man Director of SHIELD (there's no way Frac's book will surpass this in quality)
Immortal Iron Fist
Punisher War Journal
Thor
Thunderbolts
The Twelve

Black Summer
Project Superpowers
'76
Casanova
Proof
Next Issue Project

Let's see what I'm getting, these days...

Angel: After the Fall
Astonishing X-Men (yep, still on my list)
Booster Gold
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Green Arrow & Black Canary
Immortal Iron Fist
Justice League of America
Justice Society of America
Robin
She-Hulk
Thor
X-Factor
Uncanny X-Men
X-Men Legacy
X-Men First Class
Wonder Woman

I'm a bit of an x-****e, sure, but not enough to support Kyle & Yost. Ever.

Well I'm going to officially going to add X-Men:Legacy to my list. Also has anyone
read Green Arrow/Black Canary or the new outsiders? Are they any good.

My car broke down and I picked up a bunch of new debt from the repairs, so I've gotta cut down on comics for a while. My pull list as of today (when I turn in my new list to the shop) will be:

Angel season 6
Avengers: The Initiative
Blue Beetle
Booster Gold
BPRD
Buffy season 8
Captain America
Chronicles of Wormwood (just in case any new stuff comes out; I missed the little graphic novel follow-up to the main series when it came out because I didn't know about it and it wasn't on my list)
Detective Comics
DMZ
Fables
Fell
Flash
Hellboy
Immortal Iron Fist
Incredible Hercules
Iron Man
Jack of Fables
Justice Society of America
Northlanders
Nova
Planetary (for whenever that last issue gets done)
Scalped
Scott Pilgrim
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Legacy
Thor
Welcome to Tranquility (unless it's canceled, which I think it may be)
Wonder Woman
X-Factor
Young Avengers

I'll likely pick up minis, one-shots, and other series as my budget permits, as well. Those are the real core titles that I'm sure I'll want to keep reading for the foreseeable future, though.

I know your budgets tight but you should grab the other 2 Star Wars titles as well, now that the Vector crossover has started.

Yeah, I never got around to buying back issues of it and catching up to the present, so I'm just going to forget about it now. I've already got some back issues to pick up now that I've gotten hooked on Scalped, and catching up to two series is more expensive than catching up to one.

Oh, and I forgot Iron Man. I'm totally still buying Iron Man.

I plan on getting Vector in its entirety. They'd be counted under the "other stuff as my budget permits." :)

Scalped is phenomenal. It's easily the best book on the market right now.

I've read the first trade and found it to be pretty excellent. I'm going to read the second trade soon.
I just hope the crossover doesn't disappoint after all the hype by DH.
Yeah, I'm kind of confused about where it's going in KotOR already. It doesn't really read like a crossover; it seems to just be a continuation of the story KotOR was already following.

One can only hope it's going to build into something. I don't want it to be 4 stand alone stories that are only related because of one small detail that doesn't bridge the plot lines.

Yeah. I'm giving it some leeway since it's a pretty unique sort of crossover and since it's still in its early stages.

I'm really looking forward to finding out who the character that recurs throughout every era is. 4,000+ years is a long time to be alive.
