Fellow shopper told me those are all the issues I needed to be caught up with the current stuff.

I couldn't get into Morrison's Batman. It wasn't horrible, but it's not my Batman, if that makes sense.

I agree with you to a point. However I still enjoy it somewhat. Not digging the current arc though.

The way it's described, it sounds more like the flashbacks from Mask of the Phantasm, where Bruce falls in love and questions whether he's still unhappy and broody enough to be Batman.

Winick sort of soured me on the character as a whole with his OYL arc and the fact that it seems his only ways to make Ollie look better all apparently come at the expense of Connor, whom I like a lot more than Ollie. I dropped GL shortly after the OYL arc and never looked back, only to find that Winick just quit ****ing around and made Connor braindead in the first arc of GA/BC now.

So I just read the first few pages for Cable #1 and that's definitely getting added to my pull list. Swierczysnki rocked the recent Punisher MAX one-shot and this looks to be just as good.

I haven't read any GA since the 'Road To Jericho' arc. He's one of my fav characters but I haven't kept up with him as of late.

I got into him back in the late 80's when my uncle gave me a ****load of comics and there were a bunch of issues of GL/GA. Man, that's still one of my fav classic titles.

I got into GA with Kevin Smith's run and I genuinely liked him. But now he's apparently a better martial artist than Connor, able to outplan Deathstroke, and a general, all-purpose badass? Come on, he was more charming as an awesome archer who stuck to brawling for the most part.
