Oh, well, because you'd never get the oportinity to tell these tales in the regular books. With the unwritten six issue arc rule in comics these days, you're lucky if you get two stories a year in the main books. Maybe they'll give you an annual, most likely they wont. So, instead, you got another book over here, giving you something else. It's the same reason you got Action Comics and Superman. Or Two X-Men books. More stories to read.

Action Comics is dropped for the time being.

I'm thinking of dropping Teen Titans and Batman.

I'll close up the arc on Teen Titans and stay on for the Kid Devil issue, if that's good I'll pick up the Titans East arc if that provides nothing it's dropped.

With Batman I'll pick up John Ostrander's issues and drop it before Morrison comes back.

And I just dropped Squadron Supreme because it decided to not come out and go boring at the same time

I bought #6 and thought this entire first arc was pretty good.There's just something about it that doesn't really hook me month in and out.Huston's style is read better in trade probably.

Well, after reading Iron Man #13, I'm definetely adding it to my pull list. The book is great. I'm thinking about keeping Punisher: War Journal. Also now that the next arc in Astonishing X-Men is starting soon, I'll be picking that book up also.
