Nominate 3 of your favorite Indies of 2011. These Indies are smaller budget films that is distributed through smaller companies. To be elgible, the movie must have started in limited release.

Tree of Life was Fox Searchlight, which is Fox's "indie" outlet, and it opened in limited release, so I'd think it would count.

BOM considers a theater count of less than 600 as limited release, seems arbitrary. Technically Ghost Protocol falls under that category.

Ghost Protocol doesn't count. It does count as a Blockbuster though.

Tree of Life and Midnight in Paris both count.
