Dude if that ofificial image isn't enough proof that he got into a battle with the Lizard I don't know what to say. He has scratches on his face, and a CLEAR lizard-like scratch going through his spider symbol in the image.

What IF that suit is a slightly updated one from his wrestling suit or something!?.....After that fight perhaps Peter decides to update much more!?!?

Maybe he will not change soon after becoming a hero, but in this movie, he can adapt the costume to go to reach the classic costume, maybe near the end of the film.

From the stuff bjt has been telling us (if its true) then Sony threw us one hell of a curve ball. They advertised the wrestling cotume so that we follow the wrong route giving them the ability to film in costume without worry of spy photos because its not the final suit. That would be smart.

As for it being an origin story; I actually sorta like that, especially if they go with the Ultimate origin. That was a vastly different origin from what was seen in the Raimi series.

But, bjt, how do you "know" this stuff. You have actually had some legit info so I'm not doubting you yet, im just curious.

Right now Mark Webb is propably reading this and being all like "Wow that would be awesome! Why didn't I think that before? Totally gonna do that!"

It kind of would make sense because they just started to shoot the movie, and the latest footage looks like they're shooting the scene where Spiderman chases the killer of Uncle Ben. A long way from that to a big fight with the lizard don't you think?

No. It wouldn't make any sense for them to do that.

As for what they're shooting right now. A) We have no idea what's going on in the scene they're currently filming B) They don't film movies in sequential/chronological order, and C) This is what Andrew Garfield said about the first week of filming

The more I see pics of Raimi's Spider-Man, the more I'm glad we are getting a reboot. Hated the silver lining, and hated the blue color they chose, especially for the second and third films. The first film, the blue was actually nice and looked more like the comic(as well as MJ's hair didn't look so fake in the first film, lol).

I'm glad Webb decided to use actual black webbing.

And I think LuisTX85 has a great point...IF this film has some kind of origin, or at least showcasing Peter's first time as the hero once more, his suit could definitely evolve and turn into the original suit that we're aware of by movie 2 or 3.

I think theres way too much wishful thinking going on in this thread, The suit that they have been using the past few days will most probably be the only suit used during the film.

He's clearly just fought The lizard in the officially released picture, not some wrestler.
