I remember when I first played Tony Hawk Pro Skater when it came out in 1999, infact, I still have it on the N64! I've been playing American Wasteland, and I like it way better than Underground.

My first TH game was TH2 and I didnt like it. I got TH3 and liked it but I loved the series with 4. Me and my roommates spent so many hours playing with that game. THUG was my favorite. I thought the series went downhill after that. American Wasteland was just horrible. Hopefully THP8 goes back to basics and ends up a great game

I always thought the second one on the PS2 was the best. I found that later editions diluted the gamplay by adding free roaming and stuff. I also hated the overly Yeah, man thats cool or knarly street style of talking.

It was appropriate, no doubt, but annoyed me. Don't mention the "jackass version.

I only like the first 3. I think 2 is the greatest, so awesome. I have not played either underground game, but I didn't like 4 or american wasteland. I got the new demo dled of project 8 (or whatever it's called), gonna try that out when I get home tonight maybe... or tomarrow if I pass out when I get home.

I like THPS3, but I feel like the revert kind of ruined the gameplay. The first two games is where my love for the series starts and stops.

Yes, its like 5 or 6 stages I believe along with the revert

As where it should. Most fans of the series recognize those 2 as the pinnacle of the series. It began its slide after that.

You know, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X (ALL of 1 and 2 plus extra stuff) for the Xbox is backwards compatible for North America, so I think I might just pick that up.

The last one I played had Spider-man :p

Between those two, I cant decide which was my favorite. Both were amazing games. I loved Thug for being one of the better online enabled PS2 games. I played that one ALOT using my network adapter. TH4 on the Xbox was something me and my college roommates were hooked on and couldnt get enough of. Good drunken memories

I haven't bought HD yet. I definitely want to, but man does it sound skimpy.

It has what 8 classic tracks from 1-2. Hd graphics and none of the great gameplay was changed. How is that skimpy

I watched the Quick Look of it on Giant Bomb, and as far as I can tell it only has two or three of the really good levels. I'm guessing they're planning on selling the other good ones as DLC.

Just because the levels are old it doesn't make them classic. I would say 3-4 of them are ones I look back on as being awesome. The graphics are fine but they aren't anything special. The skater roster is small and I haven't heard of any cool secret characters.

Overall it just seems like they made some odd decisions and could have put a lot more in. I wouldn't be surprised if this game has a lot of paid DLC in its future, not counting the THPS3 dlc. Compare it to a game like Trials (same price) and it's skimpy.

All that said I will probably get it. I've been hoping that the original games would be released on PSN for a long time now, obviously that aint happening.

Just saw this like 5 minutes ago. I like that they say they are going back to what made tony hawk great in the first places as tony hawk games started going down hill after wasteland and wasteland while the last good tony hawk game was much worse then both tony hawk under ground 1 and 2. Sucks that they are not just making it ps4 and xboxone only though.
