Latley theres been a ridiculas amount of bashing towards X3. Now lets just all get over it: X3 was not as good as the first 2. But lets move on. If we keep pointing out the bad things, nobody will ever reconize the good parts of the film.

So this thread is dedicated to whats GOOD about xmen 3. If you didn't like it, which, apparently 85% of you didn't, (exageration) you still probably have a scene or moment that you liked/loved. So in this thread, say what you liked in the movie, lets try to leave bashing aside for this thread.

Ill start off by saying that i think Jugernaut was awesome even though he didn't resemble the comic version in many ways, he was still cool and the semi-fight with him and wolvie was pretty cool at jean's house. I just wish that the juggie and wolverine had a bigger fight at the end.

Pyro having a high position in the Brotherhood. Pyro doing more damage than Iceman throughout the whole movie.

Jean in the infirmary with Logan. I love the part when she loses control of her powers and the room starts to shake violently and stuff falls and shatters to the ground. I love her line "Kill me" and when Logan doesn't, she goes Phoenix on him and sends him back against the wall and escapes.

All of Scott's scenes...-sighs- I won't go there but aside from Famke, James was great in his scenes with what he had.

Phoenix Vs Xavier.

The whole of the Jean's Neighborhood scene.

It may not be Scott, but the Logan saving Jean scene.

Magneto moving the bridge.

Famke was amazing and prob the best part of the movie.

Kitty was AWESOME, I loved her.

Rogue in the Danger Room was great, wish there was more.

Sexy Eric Dane

Eric Dane was awesome! He managed to convey the character of Jamie Madrox with two lines and various facial features.

Wolverines entrance into alcatraz.
the whole X-men entrance! I had forgotten, but if the trilogy has a true "X-men moment", its their entrances to Alcatraz. I dont get tired of listening the score for that part in "Attack on Alcatraz". Its wonderful. That part reminded me of TAS. It was great.

Each x-men individual entrance at alcatraz...
Beast Portrayal; Spot on
Most of Jean Grey's scenes
Wolverine forest rage scene
"Grow those back"

and the best part of the movie ever (for me at least)...

Every Callisto Scene!!!!!

Awh hell! I hope you know that by creating this thread, you just got everyone here caught up in a 9 page Nell-Fest Ramble!

-The cure plotline, in my opinion, the very best foundation of plot in the entire trilogy. We had Magneto, and his Liberty Island terrorist attack, which sparked a private action to exterminate mutantkind, but this is the first time we really see society get involved. The cure is something that has been hinted at in both films already, a deleted scene between Rogue and Storm in X-Men, and Stryker's motives in X2. The argument was always that there wasn't a cure for mutation, but the fact that someone actually had the audacity to view mutation as something that needed curing, and actually developed the cure... talk about the ultimate insult to an entire community!

-Beast, who, behind only Magneto, is in my opinion, the best adaptated character from the comics to the movies. Everything from his motives and actions, to his dialogue, to the way he fights in the final battle.

-Magneto's continued brilliance. Here, I actually felt that he was at his best. His motives were always the Holocaust, that his people once were the target of a genocide, of others trying to wipe his people out, and that he wasn't going to sit around and let it happen again. That is finally paid off with the development of this cure. Finally, the humans HAVE taken that step towards eliminating the mutants. And finally, Magneto has his just cause to do as he pleases. His speeches, his church speech, and his rallying cry in the woods, are some of his best moments in the entire trilogy.

-The final battle... we finally actually got one! After 2 battle-less films under Bryan Singer, we actually finally got a real, true, X-Men style final battle... the X-Men leaping into battle with theme music blaring, battling against hordes of opposing mutants. Numerous 1v1 rivalry battles, including Callisto vs. Storm (COME ON MAN!!!!), and Iceman vs. Pyro (Iceman finally ices up!!!!!), and a great sequence with Kitty Pryde & Juggernaut (wait, did I, the person who's negative feelings towards Kitty Pryde are no secret, just say that a Kitty Pryde sequence kicked ass? HELL YEA!). And then Magneto & Pyro working together for the car-grenades, that was friggin' awesome.

-The Golden Gate Bridge sequence... I don't care if it's logical or not, or if it's scientifically impossible... no sequence in the entire trilogy speaks towards Magneto's non-chalant attitude more than this scene. It's more than a bridge being destroyed and moved to Alcatraz... it's Magneto's casual attitude about the whole thing. The fact that Magneto acts as if moving the Golden Gate Bridge is like an everyday routine! And the fact that he'd come to the conclussion to execute this action on such a casual whim! It speaks VOLUMES towards Magneto's character, and how he will not hold his tongue, and that he's willing to speak his mind and let everyone know what he thinks.

-Phoenix sequences were awesome. The Jean vs. Xavier psi battle is pretty wicked, but my favorite scene in the movie is still Wolverine marching up towards Jean on Alcatraz. Okay, so yes, it SHOULD have been Cyclops. But it wasn't. And why is it still acceptable? Because Wolverine WOULD do that... every single thing about that scene was totally in character for him. The way he fought furiously against her demolecularization and telekinesis, because he was determined to save her... the woman he loves. And yes, Wolverine DOES love Jean. If you've read the comics, this is no big surprise. And Jean doesn't want to die because of her love for him. She wants to die because of her love for Scott... because of what she did to him. That's what she feels guilty about the entire movie. To me, it's one of the most emotionally powerful scenes in the trilogy. Tied with the ending sequence of X2 in which Jean sacrifices herself to save her loved ones. Those 2 scenes are the 2 scenes in this trilogy that really tug on my heartstrings, and get me choked up.

-Wolverine's forest berserker rage. This was just as bad ass as the mansion raid scene from X2. I totally love it. I run around my house trying to reinact this scene on my own. I love it. Scenes like this make me want to be Wolverine. And he's not even one of my favorites.

Have I missed anything? Probably. There's too much good about this movie for me to really be able to list it all. If I didn't have to be up in 6 hours, I'd stay up another 2 and watch it right now.

And his awesome stare at Mystique

Yaaay for Beast :D

~Overall, loved Kelsey's performance, even when he's reciting Shakespeare (though we all now that was a stupid scene :whatever: ) the fact we got Beast...
~His conversation with the Presi (short but effective)
~Young Angel scene
~The ideas they chose: the Cure & the Phoenix.
~Enjoyed all the actor/actresses' perfomances: specially with Famke's
~Jean killing Xavier (hated the exploding technique though :o )
~Juggernaut chasing Kitty (hated the famous phrase :( )
~That's it, I think.

Here's just some of mine:

- Flashback to Jean Grey's house.
Awesome special effects to de-age Xavier and Magneto.

- The balcony scene with Storm.
Although it could have been longer, I love how it was finally conveyed that Storm's emotions are linked to her powers.

- Mystique's interrogation.
One of my favourite scenes. Rebecca's portrayal of Mystique has always been fantastic, but I just loved the tone of her voice, the facial expressions and the fighting.

- X-Men's entrance in Alcatraz.
Loved how they all had an individual entrance, it just screamed comic book. :D

- Kitty Pryde
I can't pick an individual bit because Ellen Page was fantastic in every scene she was in. I think only she could pull off "Whose hiding.. d*ckhead?" :D

- Magneto's speech in the church.
Brilliantly written scene and Ian's voice is just amazing. "No one ever talks about it, they just do it. And you go on with your lives ignoring the signs all around you."

- Beast
I didn't think I would like Beast before I saw the movie but he turned into one of my favourite characters. Kelsey Grammer was awesome with the voice, mannerisms and action.

- Storm's spinning attack.
Yes it wasn't very logical as she could have just stood there and summoned 2 bolts of lightning onto Quill and Arclight. (Which probably would have been more in character for the Storm Bryan set up.) But I do think it was a good way of showing that Storm can be inventive with her powers aswell.

There's probably a lot more but that will do for now. :)

Angel scenes were all good. Should have been more of them.
Cyke was good. Ditto above.
Beast was good. Should have been a doctor or scientist.
The eulogy was perfect. Should have been at the end of the movie for those who actually died.
Mystique's scenes were great.

But I'll take what I can get.

Action wise: Forest scene was good for Wolvie. The final battle was good for Icey and Kitty.

The Danger Room was good for Peter and Rogue.

Jean's house was good to see Storm in some meele combat, but only outside of the house.

I don't care what your feelings are toward X3. You have to admit that the good out way the bad 100%.

Other than Sin City, I have never seen such a brilliant cast of characters. Ian as Magneto, Famke as Jean, Patrick as Xavier, Jackman as Wolverine, Ellen as Kitty, Kelsey as Beast, Vinnie as Juggernaut... they were all brilliant.

Now, as for individual moments and characters...

Magneto was no doubt at his best, from his introduction at Jeans house, to his final chapter at the park. He was complete genius. My favorite scene with him in X3 would have to be his back and fourth interplay with Xavier during the scene at Jeans house. He is one of the reasons why that scene is my all time favorite of the trilogy.

Jean was also great. Famke's performance as Phoenix was spot on. She was so deliciously evil. I love when she owns Wolverine in the infirmary. That scene itself is amazing. Another favorite of mine. I also love her final climactic scene at the end of the movie. She is so beautiful. The glow of her hair, her hair and her garments swaying in the wind while the fire burns behind her… I’m in heaven. We may not have gotten a comic accurate depiction of the Phoenix effect, but it was amazing nonetheless. I was satisfied.

Mystiques interrogation was great. In fact, all Mystiques scenes were pretty awesome. She too was at her best.

Juggernaut was awesome. I really thought he was going to suck, but he was one of the gems of this movie. "I'm the Juggernaut *****!!" ... classic.

Kelsey as Beast was fantastic. Everything about him was perfection. The end.

The whole plot of the movie, as Nell talked about, was genius. It is definitely a step forward from evil men with scary machines.

The Brotherhood was also a nice addition to the film. They were all bad ass.

Of course there are still many things I hate about the movie. But compared to all the good things, I can sleep well at night.

The simple way the crew and director escalated things from the previous two films, be it regarding story, emotion, or action.

The actor's performances. Not a single subpar one in the entire film, from what I can recall. Even Arclight and Callisto seemed to be pretty into their characters. When Multiple Man makes so much out of TWO LINES, you know you have an entertaining and immediate film. Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart were golden, and Hugh Jackman was spectacular as Wolverine. Famke Janssen brought a lot of intensity to her role, and even the supporting cast gave very good-to-great performances (Kelsey Grammer, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore).

Social commentary. Easily as deep as anything that came before it regarding the "meat" of the mythos. The Cure plot and Magneto's war against humans allowed for a WONDERFUL social commentary about the nature of bigotry and assimilation. And it was nice to see how the government "reacted".

Character development. We saw Wolverine become more of a leader but still struggle with his nature, we saw more of Xavier's dark side and the "gray areas" of his mentorship, Bobby step up, Rogue make a damned decision about herself, and Pyro turn to the dark side almost completely. We saw some important things about Xavier and Magneto's relationship unfold.

Effects, costumes, and sets. Fantastic, that's all that needs to be said.

Action. Fairly realistic, kinetic, and more often than not, pretty brutal. The Danger Room was a nice addition.

New characters: Beast was a great addition, and Kitty Pryde was a welcome addition to the mythos, as was Juggernaut and even Magneto's new Brotherhood. Colossus didn't say much, but he didn't really have to.

A fairly satisfying conclusion, in the context of the movie mythology. Xavier's school goes on, but the X-Men are left with the same problems because of the recurring nature of bigotry and the fact that obviously, some things cannot simply be permanently "cured".

Every scene of Angel, Golden gate bridge scene and prof X vs Phoenix.

Brilliantly stated, both of you!
